DID YOU TELL YOUR STRANGE COUSIN TO GO VOTE? MINNESOTANS DIDN'T !

DON'T MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE THIS FALL!

We can ONLY win back the House and Senate if enough people VOTE this fall!

A large number of your friends and family have good intentions but never actually make it to the voting booth. YOUR encouragement could get them off their butts and in turn make a huge difference in the up coming elections! Poll data suggests that 1 out of every 14 people you personally ask to go vote, will actually go vote. This stuff really works!

Make no mistake, the liberals plan on using Facebook to stir up grassroots support. This time lets beat them at their own game.

Join the “I PLEDGE TO VOTE OUT A LIBERAL THIS NOVEMBER” Facebook cause and use the “INVITE OPTION” to encourage all your friends, family and co-workers get out there and vote. Encourage them to join this cause page and use it to encourage their friends and family.

The theme of CBC will be shifting to a “getting out the vote” message instead of poking fun at on the loony liberals. They don’t seem to need much help shooting themselves in the foot.

Duplicity on the Left: Using Racism to Accuse Conservative Blacks

Leftist ideology simply cannot accept a world of conservative ideals. It's simply built in to leftist dogma. This is all too apparent in the following video where a leftist protester at the recent Restoring Honor event in Washington D.C. could blatantly tell a conservative Black man "What happened to your African religion? You're supposed to be Muslim."

Of course, one leftist protester does not an ideology make. However, can you image the media backlash if a conservative, or even a Republican, had asked this question of a Black supporter at an Al Sharpton rally? MSNBC would be all over that story like aerobic bacteria chewing on dog doo.

This video shows a clear example of why Americans should no longer trust modern liberalism with its inherent class and race warfare doctrines. Liberalism continues to support race baiting and race warfare for the simple reason that the ideology cannot survive without a victim class.

And, as this group of conservatives showed at the end of the video, there's no arguing with a modern liberal. In the case of modern liberalism, the message is becoming increasingly duplicitous...and increasingly irrelevant.

Is China Going Green....Or Just Going Under?

China likes to make noise that they are adopting "Green" standards that will take the target off their backs from environmental groups who see China as the world’s leading polluter. Just recently they announced they are closing down 2,000 steel mills and other industrial sites that are polluting the skies. Green initiative or propaganda? You choose.

The latest report out of China, as detailed in news reports, is that during the first half of 2010, China’s air quality actually deteriorated. In fact, for the first time in five years, acid rain is now making life miserable in more than 200 of its 440 cities.

I’ve seen this first hand during many visits to China and I can tell you it is a nightmare. A yellow mist hangs over its cities making it nearly impossible to breathe. People walk the streets choking while wearing masks. Pulmonary disease is off the charts.

Now comes word that a quarter of the nation’s surface water is contaminated. This will only add to their misery.

China put its priorities in the wrong order. They focused all their attention on supporting their manufacturing industries without thinking of ways to support the health of its citizens. This not only will harm today’s and future generations, but will doom the rest of the world as well if they don’t quickly learn some lessons about balancing their economic might with respect for the well being of everyone.

“Politicians need summer school….”

A Nation of Fools by Peary Perry (www.pearyperry.com)

“Politicians need summer school….”

I have a friend who ran for a position as a district judge. He won.

He told me that after he was elected, one of the first defendants that had to be sentenced had a range of prison time from five years to life. My friend tells me there were not any guidelines or books to help him figure out what was proper in this case. As a result he went back and studied books, case law and prison conditions to find out for himself what was the right thing to do. He wanted to know how to be fair in his elected position. He is a good man.

In the past several months we have seen a number of elected officials who apparently missed their opportunity to learn what was appropriate as well as what was expected of them for their positions.

A Texas legislator was in the news a couple of weeks ago, after it was discovered that he was billing both the State as well as his campaign funds for the same travel expenses. His defense was that ‘he didn’t know it wasn’t the right thing to do’. He’ll probably blame on some poor second grade teacher who failed to stress honesty and integrity to him when he was seven years old. Poor baby.

Another Texas congressional representative has been accused of using funds given to her for scholarships and then awarding them to family members and close friends. Under the anti-nepotism rules of the scholarship program, Representative Bernice Johnson of Dallas was prohibited from giving out scholarship monies to her relatives or children of her staff. Ms. Johnson stated that she had indeed violated the rules, but had done so … ‘unknowingly’. She also stated that she just wasn’t ‘fully aware’ of the program rules. Of course….knowing the ‘rules’ doesn’t seem to be of much interest to many law makers such as Ms. Johnson. According to the news report, these scholarships were to be given to needy students in her district. None of the recipients lived or attended school in her district. Ms. Johnson just wasn’t aware of this small requirement.

The left leaning media is quick to point out that representative Charlie Rangel of New York merely missed several items when it came to ethics. One pundit says that Rangel’s ‘overlooking’ of the taxable income from property in the Dominican Republic couldn’t have been much since the property only cost $82,750. In the writers mind, this meant that the house was not a ‘villa’ and couldn’t have been very ‘palatial.’ I don’t know for sure, but it seems to me that the IRS doesn’t cut anyone any slack just because the property isn’t worth millions of dollars. Rangel also seems to have allegedly abused his office by using his elected position to raise funds for some ‘learning center’. Oh, wait there’s more. Add his lack of candor in filling out some financial disclosure forms as well as perhaps using a rent controlled apartment in New York for a campaign office. Several of Rangel’s defenders took the position that Rangel was hardly the first person in New York to do this, so what’s the big deal? If we all took that line of thinking, then I suppose since Cain killed Able that gives me the right to gun down my neighbor with the barking dog since ‘everyone’ has been doing it for a long period of time.

Last but not least is Representative Maxine Waters. Mrs. Waters is being investigated by the House ethics committee who alleges that Waters's office improperly worked in September 2008 to press for aid to prevent the failure of Boston-based OneUnited Bank. This bank eventually stayed afloat with the help of money from the Troubled Assets Relief Program. Waters's husband, Sidney Williams, had served on the bank's board. He owned stock in OneUnited that had declined in value from $350,000 in June 2008 to $175,000 two months later and would have been "worthless" without the bailout funds, according to the ethics committee. Mrs. Waters has defended her position by stating that she was pressing for aid for all minority banks. Apparently the only bank discussed in her meeting was OneUnited, but this seems to not be of any concern to Rep. Waters.
Well, this is all I have time for this week. I’m certain there are others which I could discuss, but four is quite enough for the time being. I guess my point here is that adult people who manage to get themselves elected to a public office should have some level of intelligence, honesty and integrity. They should not use or abuse their elected positions and then blame it off on stupidity or a lack of information about the rules.
If you and I are expected to live and abide by the rules, shouldn’t those who are in our government required to do the same? Perhaps we need some sort of school to train these poorly educated folks who have chosen to represent us in the nation’s governments, after all it doesn’t seem to be their fault if they can’t figure out the difference between right and wrong.

Murkowski Out In Alaska.

Another incumbent, this time a Republican, has fallen by the wayside. Lisa Murkowski becomes the the seventh incumbent to fall to the wrath of the voters this year.

Joe Miller and Lisa Murkowski

Murkowski was defeated by conservative lawyer Joe Miller of Fairbanks for the Republican primary. Miller came out of nowhere, backed by the Tea-Party groups and aided as well by an endorsement from Sarah Palin.

I’m thinking that even the thickest of the Democrat faithful must be aware of the upcoming shellacking that the DeMarxist government of Barack Hussein Obama is going to take in November… only 62 days away now.

We as Conservatives must now rededicate ourselves to the final drive to the November 2 elections. Mark Levin calls the upcoming elections “the most important of our country’s history”, and I have to agree. Never have I seen and felt so much intensity on the run up to an election.

It has nothing at all in common with the rock ‘n roll concert glitz campaigning of Barack Obama and his DeMarxists on the way to the presidential elections. It has everything to do with the voice and power of the American people. In March of this year, I wrote that the American genie was out of the bottle and once loose would take down the liberal monster. I’m happy to have been proven prophetic. We’re not home free yet, not by a long shot.

That’s where you come in. You’re looking for some way to help but don’t know how? It all starts with your community and by backing conservative candidates whenever they are running. It’s all grassroots, just like the Tea Parties and the Patriot groups.
America is rising up and speaking out and we will not be denied.

Lesson not learned from Nazi Germany? (Warning:extremely graphic language video)

So Says A Ground Zero Mosque Supporter

Warning: Video below contains graphic language some might find offensive!

Some Ground Zero mosque supporters seem to be driven by fear of retribution more than by the cause of religious freedom.

The left enjoys portraying itself as somehow morally superior to all others as well as more compassionate. In reality, one need only watch most debates on television to realize that isn't true.

Further, it appears that some on the left feel the mosque should be built at the Ground Zero site so as not to make Osama bin Laden mad...

A House Divided Against Itself Cannot Stand.

A House Divided Against Itself Cannot Stand.
A Commentary by J. D. Longstreet
"And Jesus knew their thoughts, and said unto them, every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation; and every city or house divided against itself shall not stand". (From the Bible, Matthew 12:25.)

The schism that slices through America today has been widening since the 19th century. Little by little, decade-by-decade, year-by-year it has continued to get ever wider and ever deeper. It has nothing to do with geography. It has nothing to do with slavery… and, yet, it has everything to do with slavery.

What, you say? Didn't we put the slavery issue to rest with a war in the 1860's? The truthful answer is NO. We did not. We put to rest the issue of whether or not a man could hold another man in bondage in this country. What we did not put to rest, however, is the question of whether this country's government could hold its citizens in bondage.

The founders of this country intended to set up a government with very little power. They intended the government to have only the power the citizens allowed it to have. Almost instantly the power struggle began between those who wanted a strong central government and those who wanted strong states and a weak central government. After all, it was The States that created the Federal Government… as a utility of the states. Not the other way around. Look it up.

In 1860 there were 33 states in the so-called United States of America. I do mean "so-called" because they were anything but UNITED. By the spring of 1861 thirteen of those states had had enough of being "dictated-to" by a oligarchic federal government wielding powers the constitution did not grant it, and ... as the US Constitution did not forbid it (as had the Articles of Confederation)... they took their leave of the United States.

They created a country of their own with a constitution (mostly copied from the original constitution of the US) and they became a separate country.

A few Americans today actually know what caused that split. A only handful of Americans understand what the ensuing war was fought about.

A few million Americans still feel the sting of being forced, at the point of a government bayonet, to be a part of a country their ancestors had forsaken in order to set up a representative republic in the image of the government the Founding Fathers of America had given the United States.

A few million Americans who either live in, have lived in, or hail from, the only portion of this country to ever be invaded, conquered, and occupied by a foreign power, understand what is happening in America today -- not because we learned it in school – no -- because we learned it from the stories our families have handed down from generation to generation and from our own research into what happened to a country which had, less than a hundred years before, won it's independence from the Mother Country.

We are scattered all over America today... north, south, east, west, all over. We see where America is headed… and we fear for our fellow Americans because they/we are not ready for the cost of what is about to happen to America. None of us are. What America is facing, in the next few years, will make the American Civil War seem like a Sunday School picnic.

Yes, I am referring to SLAVERY -- voluntary slavery, to begin with -- then involuntary slavery… when it is then too late. The socially accepted word for it these days is… SOCIALISM.

In just a few weeks Americans will go to the polls to exercise a right granted them by their states… not the federal government. The issue we will be voting for, or against, is slavery. We will be voting on whether America should stay free, or whether America should give up the freedom so many have fought, bled, and died for, and assume the yoke and chains of slavery under socialism.

Make no mistake. SOCIALISM IS SLAVERY. Under socialism you will give up all your rights… all your freedom... for security guaranteed by the Central Government. Believe me, if you think democracy is expensive; wait 'til you have to pay for all those FREE programs.

Do not expect the half of the country who stands solidly against socialism to go along, quietly, into the self inflicted slavery of this hell-spawned form of government we call socialism.

If the country votes in favor of socialism, on November 2nd, all bets are off. The word "United" can be dropped from the country's name. The country will be torn in two. And there will be no compromise. It cannot be healed, ever, again.

Two peoples, this diametrically opposed, cannot share the same space. Only the most naive among us cannot understand where this argument, over how we are to be governed, will eventually wind up.
Americans have been there before. More Americans died in the first American Civil War than in all the wars in which America has fought since her founding. And today, at least half of this country is deadly in earnest about their love of freedom and are willing to sacrifice, as their forefathers did, to preserve it.

Yes, we are in dangerous times. Extremely dangerous. If you have not taken the time to consider, seriously, how you will vote in the Mid-Term Election on November 2nd, then we suggest you do so, and do so prayerfully.

J. D. Longstreet
