Jobs Bill Can Not Get Pass a Democrat Control Senate

It is all politics. With 23 Democrat Senators running for re-election, the jobs bill is dead on arrival. Many Democrats are running the opposite direction from Obama and they are avoiding to debate any bill Obama supports. The blame for a "do nothing" congress rest within a Democrat control Senate. They have opposed every bill from the Republican house. The Senate Democrat Majority Whip Dick Durbin wants Republicans to join the Democrat cause and pass the Obama job's bill. Senate Democrats should do the right thing and joing the Republicans and kill the bill. It is an election season. The Democrat Senate is prolonging the inevitable.

(The Hill) Senate Majority Whip Dick Durbin (D-Ill.) said, at the moment, Democrats in Congress don’t have the votes to pass President Obama’s jobs bill, but Durbin added that that situation would change.

“Not at the moment, I don’t think we do, but, uh, we can work on it,” Durbin said, according to Chicago radio station WLS.

President Obama has been calling for Congress to pass his American Jobs Act since legislators returned from their August recess. The jobs plan is made up of a combination of tax increases on the wealthy, new infrastructure spending, an extension of the employee payroll-tax cut and additional funding for unemployment insurance benefits.

Republicans have voiced opposition to the plan, albeit less than with other pieces of legislation Democrats have proposed recently.

“The oil-producing-state senators don’t like eliminating or reducing the subsidy for oil companies,” Durbin said. “There are some senators who are up for election who say ‘I’m never gonna vote for a tax increase while I’m up for election, even on the wealthiest people.’ So, we’re not gonna have 100 percent of Democratic senators. That’s why it needs to be bipartisan and I hope we can find some Republicans who will join us to make it happen.”

Involuntary Deception?

Clinton lied.  A man might forget where he parks or where he lives, but he never forgets oral sex, no matter how bad it is.  Barbara Bush

Anyone in the US who fails to recognize that Team Obama's Stimulus I & II were miserable failures is either catatonic, an Obama supporter, or both.  Unemployment has lessened a bit recently, but it is because companies are preparing early for a desperately needed Christmas spending spree that has failed to materialize in recent years.  Obama had absolutely nothing to do with this.
President Obama’s own economists have reported that his stimulus did very little, if anything, to stimulate the economy, and a whole lot to stimulate the debt.  Worse yet, the jobs that he claims to have saved or created cost taxpayers $278,000 per job.  Perhaps most galling of all is that those same economists report that in comparison to how things would otherwise have been, the “stimulus” has been working in reverse…causing the economy to shed jobs.  Now, he is asking for more of the same failed experiment.
Obama has been on the campaign trail offering excuses for the third major redistribution offensive of his soon to be only presidential term.  In order to do this, he wants Congress to pass a bill to raise taxes beginning in January of 2013.  It is purely coincidental that the recessionary effects of those tax hikes would begin just after Election 2012.  So, if the revenue for Stim III will not be available until sometime in 2013, where does he plan to get the money in the meantime?  What a shock; he will borrow it.
He wants to borrow another half-trillion dollars to create an infrastructure slush fund and squander it on public and private union supporters and re-election contributors and repay it 2013 after he plans to be safely ensconced in another term.  You bet, Barack; we believe you.  What he plans is simply to add that half-trillion to the national debt, and his propaganda machine, the national lapdog media, are busy selling the tale for him.
Here is the scam.  If Congress refuses to authorize borrowing the money for him to spend vote buying, Obama will continue blaming his adversaries for the mess that he and his minions have made of our economy.  If Congress writes the check, he has another big pile of other people’s cash to give to unions to money-lauder through their political action committes to send to Obama for re-election funding.

Obama is quite a bit like the nation’s first black president Bill Clinton.  Democratic Senator Bob Kerry of Nebraska said of him, Clinton is an unusually good liar. Unusually good.  Clinton and Obama appear to engage in pathological deception since they seem to believe their own dissembling.  Perhaps this is because their connections to truth, honesty, and integrity are so tenuous that they can release their hold and float outside of their influence when needed.
I did not have sexual relations with that woman Monica Lewinsky.  You don’t normally raise taxes in a recession.  Maybe Obama is just parroting the words that he was told to articulate.
May your gods be with you.

Ricochet Romance.

In again, out again… the will-o’-the wisp of American politics is/is not harboring heretofore unthinkable aspirations for the presidency. Chris Christie is the elixir du jour of the northeast Rockefeller Republicans.
Why are these money rich establishment Republicans so anxious to lure Christie into running? Answer that question for yourselves and you’ll know everything you need to know about Governor Christie. Christie is not a Conservative, or anything even approaching a Conservative.

His anti-second amendment sympathies would and should do it for him with most freedom-loving Americans. By being as radical as he is against personal concealed carry of firearms, in one of the most crime-ridden states in the union, he is blatantly saying to the citizens of New Jersey “No! You can’t have the right to defend yourselves and your neighbors”.

Every state that has permitted personal concealed carry laws to be enacted has not only not seen a decrease in the use of firearms, but has in every case seen a marked decrease in violent crime. There’s an old saying that has a lot of truth in it… “An armed society is a polite society”.

Christie also has much to answer to Conservatives with respect to not joining with over one half of the States that are actively suing to repeal Obamacare. How does that trite colloquial saying go again? “If’n you’re not for us, you’re agin’ us”.

The northeast Repubics may be looking for a moderate to liberal Republican to run, but it’s going to be the Conservatives who control the bulk of the votes, along with the so-called Independents who have deserted the Democrat Party wholesale. There aren’t going to be a lot of undecided voters this cycle. The entire machine that swept Barack Obama to power is crumbling beneath their fingertips and the DeMarxists are desperate to find something, anything, that works.

In perhaps the greatest instance of political over-reach in history the DeMarxists, under Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi, dropped all pretense of bi-partisan anything and went as far as to exclude Republican lawmakers entirely. Their acts were of highly questionable legality and completely unconstitutional. I said in articles that I wrote during that period in 2009 that they were exposing themselves to the American people for what they were, and I predicted that the American people would rise up in their righteous anger… and they have.

It should be apparent to even the densest Repubic that the ground rules have changed. We’re not going to let them foist off another John McCain or Bob Dole on us… Rick Perry, Mitt Romney, it doesn’t matter. Our choice will be based on a candidate’s principled conservative values, or lack thereof. Not on media blather, or push and focus polling.
Chris Christie will not get Conservative support.

How the puzzle peices fit together...Our take on the how's and the why's Of what is happening today in our Country...United we must stand!

Biden Says Obama Owns the Economy, not Bush

You got to love Joe Biden. He speaks his mind without regret. It is obvious after 3 years in office, Obama has to take some form of responsibility. Obama said he would turn the economy around at the beginning of his presidency. It is at that point he owned the economy. After three year of failed policies, stimulus bills, and Obamacare, Obama must be held liable for his action.

(CBS News) Vice President Joe Biden said in a live interview with Miami public radio station WLRN Thursday that the Obama administration - not the Bush administration - now has ownership of the struggling U.S. economy.

Biden said Americans have "good reason to be upset" because they lost jobs because of the recession, "something they didn't have a thing to do with creating."

"Even though 50-some percent of the American people think the economy tanked because of the last administration, that's not relevant," said the vice president. "What's relevant is we're in charge."

The economic recession began during the final year of the Bush administration, and polls show many Americans continue to blame Mr. Bush - not his successor - for the current economic situation. A CBS News/New York Times poll over the summer found that 26 percent of Americans mostly blame the Bush administration for the state of the economy, while just 8 percent blame the Obama administration.

"Right now, we are the ones in charge, and it's gotten better but it hasn't gotten good enough," Biden told WLRN. "...I don't blame them for being mad. We're in charge. So they're angry."

Biden said it is "totally legitimate" for the 2012 presidential election to be "a referendum on Obama and Biden and the nature and state of the economy." He said Americans will need to make a choice between what the Obama administration is offering to address the problem and what is being offered by the eventual Republican nominee.

The Palin Fetish: How Liberals Expose Themselves by Trying to Expose Sarah Palin

"First, they called Sarah Palin a racist. Now, they accuse her of having a 'fetish' for black men. Can Governor Palin ever win? "Sarah Palin" visits Zo Nation to talk about the crazy allegations directed at her by the left."

Is THIS the Voice of the Democratic Party?

If any of you think I am a conspiracy theorist, consider me dethroned by one Janeane Garafolo, except that I am perfectly sane, of course. She has already proven that she is “out there”, but when I watch Keith Olbermann (a big dolt in his own right) enthusiastically embracing her crazy views, I can’t help but to wonder how many registered Democrats do the same.

After viewing the video, I literally caught myself with my mouth hanging open in disbelief. I would have laughed – Garafolo being a professional comedian and all – if not for the fact that she is obviously serious about everything she is saying. This is a classic example of “The Pot calling the Kettle black”. Jeannie is spending her entire diatribe accusing the Tea Party of racism, but in such a horribly bigoted and stereotyped manner.

Of course, as always, the slanted mainstream media are equally to blame. After you watch the video, just imagine a conservative saying this with even half the venom and a fraction of the wording. The replay would be on every news cast for weeks and some maniacal photo of the speaker would be on the front page of newspapers in every major city and on the cover of Time and Newsweek. The Harry Reids of the world would surely flaunt his com- passionate politicism by jostling his way onto a major news program and demanding an apology from the “perpetrator”.

I’m not sure why the staggering hypocrisy surprises me. Maybe it’s because scenes like these go beyond the pale.

I remember when Condi Rice was handed the torch of Secretary of State. A logical, sensible person would think that members of NOW and the ACLU would be rejoicing on the rooftops. That there would be a huge bonfire raging on Pennsylvania Avenue where all the books regarding female and black oppression would be flung to their fiery destruction one by one as music played in the background until dawn. But no, because she was not a professed Democrat, she was instead snubbed and regarded as a political Uncle Tom (with that said, I personally spoke to many black people who totally admired her, but did so privately lest they be thrown to the curb by their peers also). So, as a result, instead of hearing the aforedescribed jolly noise, we heard this:

___________________________________________________ !!!!!

Until some Democrat steps forward and denounces Janeane Garofalo’s pitiful performance, I can only assume that they are sympathetic to her message. And if that’s so, they are more estranged from the typical citizen than even their inside critics could imagine.

Keep up the good work. You already lost a major democratic stronghold in New York a few weeks ago when replacing Anthony Weiner. Maybe if you continue in the same fashion, you’ll pull the plug on other major democratic candidates in the near future as well, including the one in the highest office. After all, if the rebuke is still not being heeded, perhaps it never will be.

I have never been shy about my opinions on the folly within the Republican Party. There is plenty. But let’s face it, the Dems are so much worse, and on such a consistent basis. Let’s just hope that a truly conservative candidate can exploit this democratic implosion and rescue us all from people like Janeane Garofalo.

Bev’s Excursion Into Ad Lib Territory

Bev’s Excursion Into Ad Lib Territory
A Commentary by J. D. Longstreet

As far back as 2007 this scribe was warning that if times got rough for democrats America might see elections suspended in order to keep the dems in office.  After the 2010 avalanche of votes for republicans many conservatives began to worry about the possibility that democrats in charge of the White House might, in fact, make such a move.

Look.  A national emergency is all that is needed.  One could certainly argue that the US is currently suffering a national emergency – the near collapse of our financial system. On the other hand, some of us would argue that democratic control of our government IS the national emergency.

In any event, reading some commentator’s postulation concerning the suspension of elections may be worrisome, but to hear those words from a serving democratic governor of one of the largest states in the union is truly stunning.

That said, what’s worse is to be a conservative republican resident of the state that governor purportedly serves!

I write this commentary from the great state of North Carolina.  Allow me, if you will, to express my embarrassment at the governor’s words. I hasten to add that I am not surprised at what Gov. Purdue said. She is, after all, a machine democrat.  Unfortunately, she was not up for reelection in 2010 when Tar Heels cleaned the state legislature of the democratic machine and, for the first time in 150 years, gained control of both houses of the NC General Assembly.  Had Purdue been on the ballot, we would have had a republican governor, as well.  As it is, we have to wait until November of 2012 to “banish Bev” and place a republican in the governor’s office.

I once saw a sign in a broadcast studio, which said:  “Be sure brain is engaged before putting mouth in gear.”  Maybe Bev ought to have that sign posted in the governor’s office.

In an article by Rob Christensen and John Frank in The (Raleigh) News & Observer entitled: “N.C. Gov. Perdue's remark strikes nerve with GOP pundits” the paper says:  “When Perdue is off script, it is often an adventure. While visiting SAS's solar farm in Cary where sheep graze, she commented to co-founder John Sall: "If we only had that ram, John, we could mate and have fun."

Or while appearing at a state employees health fare, Perdue talked about her decision to give up smoking cigarettes and eating a bag of Doritos at the end of each week when she thought she was having a stroke.

"My head popped open, and I said, 'Dear God, if you let me live, I'll quit.' And I quit. I didn't quit for me. I quit because I thought about my kids not having momma or a daddy."

Or there was the time, when a television cameraman, offered a lascivious "All Right," after Perdue said she would "undress" from the TV microphone that was clipped to her jacket. " I'm an old woman," Perdue said. "You are a pervert."

She has publicly acknowledged in speeches - as she is about to go off script - that her staff has urged her to stay on script. And she runs through communications staff like water - David Kochman, Tim Crowley, Justin Guillory, Pearse Edwards and Chrissy Pearson are all former communications staffers no longer on the governor's staff.”  (You may read the entire article at the Raleigh News and Observer’s website HERE.)

The governor’s staff has been “backing and filling” since the Gov made her remarks and, frankly, they have only made matters worse.

In the event you may have missed those sage remarks made by my governor here they are”

“I think we ought to suspend, perhaps, elections for Congress for two years and just tell them we won’t hold it against them, whatever decisions they make, to just let them help this country recover. I really hope that someone can agree with me on that.”
First, the democrats claimed it was a joke.  All one has to do is read the words above and you quickly see it was anything but a joke

Then they claimed it was hyperbole. Nah.  That didn’t work either.  Consider the context.
Then came the excuse that it was sarcasm. It was so clearly NOT sarcasm, especially when you hear the words delivered in Purdue’s own voice, that the sarcasm excuse crashed and burned immediately.

This whole incident is simply another reminder that the democrats view the US Constitution as a speed bump rather than a stop sign to government’s power.

That must be corrected in November of 2012.

Anti-Obama sign in Uptown neighborhood draws controversy

It is call the 1st Amendment: The Freedom of Speech.

(WWLTV) NEW ORLEANS -- There are several political signs attracting all kinds of attention in one Uptown neighborhood.

On Wednesday, crowds gathered at the corner of Calhoun and Coralie streets, looking at several signs depicting President Barack Obama as either a dunce, a puppet or a crying baby in a diaper.

"It disrespects the nation -- and President Barack Obama represents our nation," said Skip Alexander, as he looked at one of the signs. "He represents everybody, not some people."

Dozens of protesters came by the house in the 1500 block of Calhoun throughout the day, demanding the sign come down.

"He wouldn't do that to [President] Bush, I'm sure. It's just insulting. It's insulting," said C.C. Campbell-Rock. "He's going to have to take them down."

"This is nothing put pure racism," said Raymond Rock. "This is a disgrace."

The home is owned by Timothy Reily, who declined to be interviewed about the signs. Former Mayor Ray Nagin showed up at the house and went inside to speak with Reily. He emerged later and would not comment on what they discussed.

Some neighbors tell Eyewitness News that Reily has been putting the signs up for months. Some of the protesters learned about the signs through a local radio station on Wednesday morning.

"He can put up a sign if he wants to. It doesn't bother me," said Harold Gagnet, a neighbor.

"I think it's fine. It's on his property," said Katherine deMontluzin. "He can say whatever he wants."

The signs have created such a firestorm of controversy, though, that police came to the scene-- called in by City Council Member Susan Guidry. She represents the district where the home is located. Guidry said she was concerned about public safety and was trying to figure out if the sign was even legal. She also said she spoke to Reily, but didn't get far.

"We have to determine that there is a zoning law that prohibits perhaps the size of the sign, perhaps the way that it's erected, that it is leaning over onto public property," Guidry said. "Whatever we can use, we will, but of course, we do have to balance that with First Amendment rights."

Yet, the signs remain in place, fanning the flames of a free speech debate on both sides of the fence.

REMOVAL from office is only the beginning...

"If we simply allow this fraudulent "presidency" to stand, it will provide the template for future constitutionally ineligible individuals to usurp the highest office in our land,
as well as bolster the efforts of liberals,  who have been trying for years to remove this significant requirement from our Constitution altogether".

Why Are All Of Those Racists Loving Herman Cain?

Didn’t Janeane Garofalo say “the teabaggers just can’t stand the thought of a back man as President?” Didn’t she say that it was “racismmmm?” Hasn't the towering intellectual himself -- Keith Olbermann -- weighed the pros and cons, and found racism the main teabagging motivator? Hasn’t that been the theme of every liberal talking head over the last three years? Conservatives hate Obama because he is black, and everything else is just a cover-up.

They can’t be wrong, so I will explain their love for Herman Cain.

They are right; the Teaparty is racist.

They hate themselves because they hate people of color, and out of guilt are trying to identify with the minorities they loath.

It is like when they put a hot skinny chick in a fat suit and then send her out in public. As sorry as she feels for the way the truly fat girls get treated, she would never really want to be fat.

Deep down she feels a little superior, and it is like that with the baggers as well.

It is obvious that the teabaggers hate themselves for their feelings of racism, and the way they are dealing with it, is by pretending that an obviously dimwitted and under qualified candidate is worthy of being president of the United States… And will vote on him just because he is black.

I say shame on the teabaggers; a black man should be afforded the opportunity to be as big a babbling, stuttering, moronic teleprompter reader as anyone else.

DOH!

"NYT: Mr. Cain won nearly 40 percent of the 2,657 people who voted, more than doubling Mr. Perry’s total and that of Mitt Romney, who came in a close third.
Today at the Republican Party of Florida’s Presidency 5, 2,657 delegates cast their votes in the Party’s straw poll."
"The results of that straw poll are in and are as follows:"
1. Herman Cain, 37.1%
2. Rick Perry, 15.4%
3. Mitt Romney, 14%
4. Rick Santorum, 10.9%
5. Ron Paul, 10.4%
6. Newt Gingrich, 8.4%
7. Jon Huntsman, 2.3%
8. Michele Bachmann, 1.5%

Limbaugh: " Doubt Palin Will Run And I Heard A Lot Of John McCain In Chris Christie's Speech"

That is enough to scare me off of Chris Chrispycream. I am still holding out hope for Bachmann, but am starting to love Herman Cain.

RCP: Republican elite doesn't want true conservatives like Rick Perry, Herman Cain or Michele Bachmann nominated, they want someone like Mitt Romney, who they can control. Rush is telling the truth.

Here's a good article written today about Mitch Daniels. He is right, everybody jumped on Perry during last debate in Florida, he was the one telling the truth about social security while Mitt Romney did not offer a solution, bedevil Perry instead for telling it as is.

The Dangerous Dance of the UN and the US

The Dangerous Dance of the UN and the US.
A Commentary by J. D. Longstreet

Over the past few days as I have watched all the posturing and bleating at the United Nations I thought back to an article I wrote some five years ago.  I pulled it from my files and read over it again.  As I did, I realized that nothing had changed at the UN in those past five years … except … the noticeable increase in the fervor with which the UN General Assembly attempts to neuter the United States.

The current move to grant the so-called Palestinian people a state by a vote at the UN is as much a slap in the face of America as it is  “flipping the bird” in the face of Israel. It is as clear today as it was in 2007 (when I wrote the commentary below) that anti-Semitism is alive and well in Europe even after the blasphemous holocaust was committed on their shores in the last century.  We have come to expect it from much of the remainder of the world.  But to see it rear its ugly head, AGAIN, in Europe is, well, disgusting.

There is an underlying reason for the theatre playing out in the UN today and the article below explores that movement and shines some light into the dark corners where disgusting things mutate and live on in today’s world.

Please read on.      J. D. Longstreet

The Free World –vs- The United Nations!

I had one of those epiphanies the other day, which seem to come at the oddest moments, but when they come… that little cartoonish light bulb, above one’s head, seems to glow ever so brightly.

Have you noticed that the same people who want Palestinians to over run Israel are the same people who want Mexicans to over-run the US?   Take a look for yourself.  Look at those who would have Israel give up her ancestral homeland to a bunch of nomadic rabble. Identify them. Then look at their stance on open borders with Mexico.  See?  There it is.  Right in front of our faces all the time.

Now, lets see if we can define these people.  One word comes to mind:  “Globalists”.

So what is the Philosophy of Globalism?  Globalism is a national geopolitical policy in which the entire world is regarded as the appropriate sphere for a state's influence

Now, in case there was even the slightest doubt in your mind… I am not a globalist!  Far from it!  I am a nationalist!  I believe in my country, the United States of America.  And, like the generation behind me, I do not believe it is patriotic be “anti-American”.  That goes for a majority of our Congresspersons and Senators today. They’re from that hippie, dope smoking, anti-war, UN loving, ban the bomb, hug the trees, recycle, the earth is burning up, the sky is falling, and we’re all gonna drown, and, well, their fatalistic, and unrealistic, ideas go on and on.  Some of us think those ideas spring from minds damaged from all that Weed, and Cocaine, and Horse, and God only knows what else they inhaled, injected, and snorted, during the years in which most of us chose to grow up.

Anyway, if you had not noticed, there is a movement underway to get rid of all borders worldwide.  No more sovereign countries. Only one country… “The Earth”. Then One Government… The United Nations of the Earth!  Good GRIEF!  That ought to scare the living daylights out of any normal, sane, individual!  Unfortunately, those dope damaged brains we referenced a while ago have bought into this Utopian idea and have been pushing it, albeit, quietly, for decades now.  Every so often one hears the word “globalist” uttered aloud but there are long absences of the word from public discourse.   It is during those periods that I worry.
“Globalists don't seem to fear the U.N.'s meaninglessness. And with all their talk of peace, they also don't seem to fear the violence inevitably required to control the whole world.
There is an explanation for this lack of concern – and no, it doesn't involve conspiracy theories. We only need to understand the evolutionary faith of the secular worldview, and that faith's predictable yearning. Since there is no God (none they recognize), secular governments become the final moral authority in each society, the giver of all rights. To put it the communist way, "God is the state and the state is God." However, this belief system leaves secularists to deal with hundreds of little god-governments (and some are not so little), all with different "opinions" about right and wrong.”    (From: “Why the U.N. can never bring peace” by Bob Just.  Read the entire article at: THIS WEB SITE.)
My father was a man of few words.  If he was angry, as long as he was talking, he was harmless.  When he became quiet, all hell was about to break loose and someone was going to get hurt… almost always that person who opposed him.   I learned from my father to study those periods of quiet and prepare for defense before the imminent storm strikes.

Now, Israel owns the land the US government and the UN, and sundry other nations, are insisting Israel give away to the nomadic rabble today known as Palestinians. (There never was a Palestine.  But that is another article for another day.) The Jews were on that land thousands of years before those people we, today, call Palestinians ever showed up. It is Israel’s land.  Even if you do not believe that Israel has a right to that land as a gift from God, (as I do) you must see that ownership of a piece of land for thousands of years before even the birth of the ancestors of those who declare it is theirs (not Israel’s) today surely must convince you that ownership belongs to Israel!

Nevertheless, those who rewrite history have been busy for nearly six decades re-writing history to make the actual history of that piece of real estate fuzzy at best.  Now you know why.

Here on this side of the globe, the same people envision a North American continent populated with one people: “mexameridians” a people springing from Mexican, Americans, and Canadians.

Globalists dream of a world without borders. They dream of a “One-World Government.”  They claim, ultimately, it is the only way to have peace on the planet.  Their skewed vision, however, does not take into account all the nations, who do not share that dream and the fight they will put up to hold onto their sovereignty.  By fight, I mean war. They have not considered the blood and treasure, which will necessarily be spent in conquering an entire planet and holding much of that planet in “Occupation”.  They have yet to understand that globalism may be Their Dream, but for many countries on earth it is a nightmare. The US is one of those countries demanding its sovereignty while manifestly flaunting its national sword.

Sitting at the apex of this grand scheme to conquer and occupy The Earth is… none other than the United Nations!  That “debating society” has turned into one of the gravest threats to humanity ever devised by the mind of man.   Eventually the free world will be at war with the United Nations.  Once again we will have a bi-polar world:  The Free World vs the United Nations.

So, as you listen to the declarations of diplomats, the world over, that concern the “Global Village”, understand that it is not true.  It is a dream, a power dream, of the powerful who covet more power.  Do not allow yourself to fall for their Utopian hallucinations.

Obama Believes He Gave Tax Cuts to Small Business

I am so glad that someone actually fact checked the president. Obama has been touting the claim that he gave tax cuts to small business for the past couple years. I was afraid that the constant lies would be construed as fact. American should not believe anything Obama says, especially with his trusty TelePrompter. The Titanic is sinking, and Obama believes he can save the sinking ship.

(Washington Post) “As I said, we’ve actually cut taxes for small business 16 times since I’ve been in office. So taxes for small businesses are lower now than they were when I came into office.”

--President Obama, Town Hall with LinkedIn, Sept. 26, 2011

We’ve been meaning to look into the administration’s claim that the president has cut small business taxes “16 times,” and now the president’s appearance in Silicon Valley has given us an opportunity. (The White House also has claimed as many as 17 small business tax cuts, including a tax cut in a bill signed at the end of 2010.)

The president, in fact, went even further this week and asserted: “Taxes for small businesses are lower now than they were when I came into office.” That’s a big claim. How true is this?

The Facts

The White House first began to cite “16 tax cuts” last year, as the president prepared to sign a small business bill. The fact sheet distributed by the White House stated that bills signed by the president in 2009 and 2010 (primarily the stimulus bill) had yielded “eight separate small business tax cuts,” and that the new bill would add another eight.

The list also appears to be inflated. The first group of eight tax cuts includes bonus depreciation; the second group of tax cuts extends this provision. There is also an expansion on the limits of small-business expensing in the first list; the second set of tax cuts includes this provision. To us, these seem to be more or less the same tax cut, though others may disagree.

Moreover, these tax cuts are often quite limited in impact. Not only do many require the small business executive to do something to get the tax cuts—as opposed to a real cut in tax rates--but they have sometimes narrowly drawn criteria.

The National Federation of Independent Business estimates that fewer than 250,000 businesses would qualify for the full health-care tax credit—out of an estimated 27 million small businesses--while another 1.2 million would qualify for a partial credit.

Finally, we have to look at the other side of the equation. The new health-care law includes taxes, especially an increase in Medicare payroll taxes, which in 2013 would begin to affect more affluent small business owners making net income of more than $200,000 (single) or $250,000 (couple). That amounts to about three percent of all small businesses.

Liberalism Made Our Current Democrat Leaders Stupid

We had many well-known Democrats who were great orators. However, they are Democrats of the past. The ideology has change dramtically after John F. Kennedy was in office. Currently, Liberalism took hold and made the modern day Democrats look like idiots. The Democrat party will never be the same again.

The following are examples of great orators of the Democratic PAST:

Rick Perry For Islamic Curriculum In Texas Schools?

Was Rick Perry pushing for Islamic curriculum in the Texas public school systems? I don't know.

On a tip from a liberal on this site, I decided to FBI it. What I found was he has been accused of it, but has allegedly went through pains to wipe all evidence of his alleged pro Islam activity.

So who knows? What I will do is give you snips of what I found and a link to the sources.

You will have to make up your own mind.

Why did Texas school district remove Rick Perry’s Islamic curriculum?

Down the memory hole? What’s going on? via Jihad Watch, The Perry/Aga Khan curriculum: Ace folds, presents as the curriculum material that isn’t the curriculum at all

One very odd thing about the Aga Khan/Perry curriculum: since this whole brouhaha started, it has been taken offline. It is now available only in cached form here. Why was it taken down? Was the Perry camp embarrassed by the material that Pamela Geller published here, showing it to be a whitewash of Islamic teaching and history? Or was it taken down because it really is, as Ace says, so “biased against Muslims it will reinforce perceptions [Perry] is some kind of rootin’-tootin’ six-gun shooting cowboy yahoo”?

Is either option favorable to Perry? If it was taken down because it’s a dhimmi whitewash, Perry is tacitly admitting that our criticisms of him were right, and those evaluating Perry should be concerned about his naivete in dealing with the Aga Khan. If it was taken down because it was too honest about Islam and will thus hurt Perry with the dhimmi/Norquist faction of the GOP, Perry is again tacitly admitting that our criticisms of him were right: he is not able or willing to stand up to Norquist and his Islamic supremacist allies. So which is it? What are they hiding? And does it matter? Either way, the deep-sixing of the curriculum proves that we were right about Perry all along.
In this one, Pamela Geller even weighs in.
All traces of Perry/Aga Khan curriculum removed from web

In this post I included numerous links to the Rick Perry/Aga Khan Islamic curriculum for Texas public schools. The links were to the Google cache of the curriculum material, because several days ago, after we began calling attention to it, the curriculum was taken offline. Accordingly I wrote in that post:

One very odd thing about the Aga Khan/Perry curriculum: since this whole brouhaha started, it has been taken offline. It is now available only in cached form here. Why was it taken down? Was the Perry camp embarrassed by the material that Pamela Geller published here, showing it to be a whitewash of Islamic teaching and history? Or was it taken down because it really is, as Ace says, so "biased against Muslims it will reinforce perceptions [Perry] is some kind of rootin'-tootin' six-gun shooting cowboy yahoo"?

So which is it? What are they hiding? And does it matter? Either way, the deep-sixing of the curriculum proves that we were right about Perry all along.

Now that impression is compounded by the fact that even the cached links no longer work: the Perry/Aga Khan curriculum has been completely wiped from the web. Pamela Geller has screenshots here, however.
This guy needs no further convening.

THE ISLAMIC CURRICULUM GOVERNOR PERRY AND TEXAS SCHOOLS SHOULD HAVE TAUGHT

No school, in or out of Texas, needs a grant or expert from a Muslim organization to inform students. The “Religion of Peace” is a wonderful example of resources only a click away. Here is the 10 units “curriculum” on the Myths of Islam which are dispelled with the most effective antidote—truth.

Muslims often complain of popular “misconceptions” about their religion in the West.

We took a hard look, however, and found that the most prevalent myths of Islam are the ones held by Muslims and Western apologists. The only glaring exception to this is the misconception that all Muslims are alike (they aren’t, of course), but even Muslims often believe this as well, as evidenced by the various contrary factions insisting that they are the true Muslims, while those who disagree with them are either infidels, hijackers, or hypocrites.

Don’t be fooled! Hear the myths, but know the truth.

Obamacare is Heading to the US Supreme Court

Obamacare is heading to the US Supreme Court. The portion of the law allowing government to force individuals to purchase health insurance will be questioned. There has been many lawsuits filed by the states. Surprisingly, I didn't expect the SCOTUS will be hearing any case related to Obamacare. If the ruling favors for the American people, it would be a devastating blow to the Obama Administration.

(Heritage Foundation) The National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB) stole a march on the Obama Administration this morning by filing a petition with the U.S. Supreme Court appealing the 11th Circuit’s Obamacare decision.

The Department of Justice (DOJ) had announced on Monday that it was not going to ask all 11 judges of the 11th Circuit Court of Appeals to review en banc the August 12 decision of a three-judge panel of the 11th Circuit that found the individual mandate unconstitutional. This opened up a path to an appeal by DOJ to the Supremes.

However, with this petition, the NFIB jumped ahead of Eric Holder’s slow-moving DOJ (which until Monday had done everything it could to slow-walk this case filed by 26 states and the NFIB). The NFIB is obviously not appealing the three-judge panel’s opinion about the unconstitutionality of the individual mandate. But the NFIB is appealing the portion of the panel’s decision that held that the unconstitutional individual mandate could be severed from the Obamacare legislation.

The NFIB is asking the Court to overrule this holding, since “Congress itself deemed [the mandate] ‘essential’ to the Act’s new insurance regulations.” Given that the 11th and 6th Circuits have issued “directly conflicting final judgments about the facial constitutionality of [Obamacare’s] mandate,” the case is one that the Court should obviously take up given its interest in eliminating conflicting opinions in the courts of appeal.

Geography Teacher Gives Obama Staff An "F" For Being Stupid

Greg with Rhymes With Right, slaps his ruler across the knuckles of the Obama staff for incorrectly labeling Wyoming for Colorado.

I teach Geography. I feel pretty confident that none of them would make a mistake like this one after completing my class.

Yeah, that's right -- they didn't highlight Colorado on this press pass. They highlighted Wyoming instead.

Now I'll grant you that both states are located in "flyover country" and so don't make a difference to Obama and his "beautiful people" supporters who consider only the east and west coasts of the country to be worthy of notice, but such carelessness really does send a message about how screwed up things are in the White House under President 57-States.

This Cop Is An Ass: Busted For Felony Eavesdropping

This cop is too dumb to use sound judgment; he is a Barney Fife, who should be made to resign for being such a dumbass. If they are going to let people carry a badge and a gun, the should at least have an IQ over 90.

You might say that he is obligated to make an arrest if he catches someone in violation.

If that is your position, you are also a dumbass; here are some other Illinois laws you believe the police are obligated to enforce:

  • A state law requires that a man's female companion shall call him "master" while out on a date. The law does not apply to married couples.
  • In Zion, It is illegal for anyone to give cats, dogs, or other domesticated animals a lighted cigar.

Say you take out your smart phone and you start taking pictures of police officers making an arrest. The pictures and video are allowed by law, but you must have permission before you record the audio, even if the officer is on the public way.

"I'm just an ordinary citizen. I was on my way to the movies, and all of a sudden I'm facing a felony and 15 years in prison." Frobe said.

Frobe calls it the worst experience of his life. He was on his way to a late evening movie on an August night last year when he was stopped for speeding in far north suburban Lindenhurst. He didn't believe he was in a 35-mile-an-hour zone, and he figured if he was going to get ticket he wanted to be able to document his challenge with video evidence, so he got out his flip camera, which he was not very adept at using.

At one point he held it out the window trying to record where he was. When the officer, being recorded on his squad dash cam, walked back to Frobe's car, the officer saw Frobe's camera.

Officer: "That recording? Frobe : "Yes, Yes, I've been... Officer: "Was it recording all of our conversation? Frobe: "Yes. Officer: "Guess what? You were eavesdropping on our conversation. I did not give you permission to do so. Step out of the vehicle."

Louis Frobe was then cuffed and arrested for felony eavesdropping.

EPA’s own inspector general calls greenhouse gas science flawed

Al Gore, call your office.

The EPA is admitting that their own global warming science is flawed. From the
Daily Caller:
The report — from the Office of the Inspector General (OIG) of the EPA — reveals that the scientific basis, on which the administration’s endangerment finding for greenhouse gases hinged, violated the EPA’s own peer review procedure.
But I thought the science was "settled."

Barack Obama: The Eternal Emotional & Intellectual Sophomore

Barack Obama: The Eternal Emotional & Intellectual Sophomore

Richard Epstein does an stunningly effective line-by-line takedown of Barack Obama's "American Jobs Act", also known as "Porkulus II", "Stimulus Jr.", and "The Obama Re-election Bill".  But it's his point about Obama's thought pattern - becoming more and more obvious -  that hit home:

This bill, he [Obama] said, will "put more people back to work and put more money in the pockets of working Americans. And it will do so without adding a dime to the deficit." How? Why, by closing "corporate tax loopholes" and insisting that the wealthiest American’s pay their "fair share" of taxes.

What is so striking about Obama’s shopworn rhetoric is its juvenile intellectual quality. His explanation for how the AJA will create jobs is a non-starter because he does not explain how we get from here to there. As in so many other cases, the president thinks that waving a wand over a problem will make his most ardent wishes come true, even when similar earlier efforts have proved to be dismal failures.

That's pitch-perfect.  Obama is a juvenile intellectual, whose thought process never got past the tired cliches of the college-aged wanna-be socialist rage.  No wonder liberal journalists nod sagely at the president's words, no wonder the netroots swoon when he descends into class-warfare anger and dime store revolutionary sloganeering - he is talking to them at their level of comprehension.

The Fountainhead gave us the character of  Ellsworth Toohey - one of Rand's most  prescient creations, a smooth-talking socialist, perhaps most comparable to Barack Obama (Having no true genius, Toohey's mission is to destroy excellence and promote altruism as the ultimate social ideal....He falsely styles himself as representative of the will of the masses...) - who says, while sneering at the common man, "The sound perception of an ant does not include thunder."

One can certainly say the same about the perception of Barack Obama, as well as his followers.

Quite honestly, if the president wants to feel at home, amongst his emotional and intellectual equals, he should be here in New York City, "occupying" Wall Street with his own kind.  The ones the New York Post describes as over-educated, undermotivated yuppie larvae... urchins....anarchist wannabes...

These are your people, Barack Obama...

Lemongate

Before September 16, 2011, I’d never heard the term, Lemon Socialism. Charles Krauthammer educated me that day on Hannity. I naturally thought he said, Lenin, and not Lemon. So, what is it? Lemon Socialism occurs when the government doesn’t allow a failing company, a ‘lemon,’ to fail. Instead, the beaurocrats pick the industry they want to succeed, and invest heavily in associated corporations. I can hear the Obama defenders in unison saying, But the Bush Administration propped the oil companies up. Perhaps, and if true, therein lies another wrong, but do two wrongs make a right? For some, maybe they do. In any case, the oil companies were already successful, and they didn’t fail. The green industry, as Krauthammer said, is a “fantasy.” Their poster child corporation, Solyndra, failed - and over a thousand people were laid off. This, after a $535 million loan guarantee was paid to the Green Goliath - out of the massive $787 billion stimulus program by the Obama Administration. Funny, Obama supporters will overlook the same thing for which they wanted to jail George Bush’s team, and throw away the key. Wasted millions to rich corporations... The only difference is, the Bush Administration didn’t do it.

Tulsa billionaire, George Kaiser, a rich guy, and one of the largest contributors to the Obama campaign in 2008, invested heavily in Solyndra. He made three visits to the White House in Mar., 2009, and after the $535 gift, Solyndra went on a wild spending spree, according to the Washington Post. The company then lobbied for $400 million more, which, fortunately, was not approved. But this story has twists and turns; and legs. Some Democrats said that the Bush Administration, not blamed enough in recent years, supported Solyndra’s application from the beginning. However, the Bush Dept. of Energy voted down a Solyndra loan guarantee in the final days of their administration.

Thinking Solyndra could fill the role of poster child for green jobs, the Obama Administration propped it up. What its success could have done for the environmentalist movement! But this is what their green goop is based on. Hope and change. If only there were an alternative to gasoline. If we only invest trillions of dollars in green energy research, another fuel will be developed. But this is foolishness. Most likely, someone will develop an alternate fuel someday, but this hasn’t happened yet. (Due to such differences in thinking and philosophies, politics is endlessly appealing to me.) As Charles Krauthammer said, “It’s like throwing $billions at jet engines in the 1920’s.” He meant that the idea for the jet engine has been around for centuries - yes, it has, look it up! However, it had to be slowly developed over time before it became useful (in the mid-1940’s).

The left will try to force the future to come to us, but that’s not the way it works. So, when the environmentalists tell you to stop denying science, have them realize: It’s not the denial of science; it’s an acceptance of the math. Tell them to stop propping up the lemons. When the lemonade finally arrives, we’ll all be called to the table for a glass or two!

RINO-Mongering

http://unitedconservatives.wordpress.com

"Something that’s becoming more and more problematic, in my eyes at least, is the tendency to overuse the term RINO (Republican In Name Only). First of all let me say that I’m fundamentally against the idea of being a Republican and also governing or legislating completely contrary to the Republican ethic. However when we start throwing around the term RINO to describe every conservative-leaning moderate or establishment Republican, like any term it loses its meaning. Arnold Schwarzenegger is a RINO. Olympia Snowe is a RINO. John McCain is a RINO.

Newt Gingrich, who’s been in American government for decades and could be called an establishment Republican, is NOT a RINO. I just saw on an affiliated site someone call Karl Rove a RINO. Being an established political figure, or being pragmatic, or even being less conservative than Calvin Coolidge does not make one a fake Republican or a fake conservative. I also reject the notion that Rick Perry supporters can label Mitt Romney a RINO without doing so for Rick Perry who is not only just as willing to use government power as Romney but also corrupt and much more disingenuous than Romney. A RINO is a liberal Republican. Not a moderate, not a conservative that one disagrees with, and not someone who's been in government for some time. A RINO is a Democrat in Republican clothing."

NOOO! Karl Rove You Dipshit!!

Rove makes me want to throw something at the TV. Cain did not win the Florida straw poll because of 999, he won because Romney pushed socialized medicine in his state and Perry is soft on immigration.

They are too liberal! The American people are hungry for a true conservative.

You can't understand what is going on because you are an establishment RINO.

Jobs Bill or Stimulus Redux?

Last week President Obama proposed a new "job creation" bill and is now on the road trying to sell it and himself to the American people. According to numerous news outlets the proposal has a price tag of about $450 Billion. So maybe this is stimulus light after the $700+ billion already spent in the name of boosting the economy. The "new" plan includes extension of the payroll tax cut, "targeted" tax cuts for hiring workers, billions for infrastructure construction, billions for remodeling schools, further extension of unemployment benefits, money to local governments to keep government employees from being fired as well as litany of other piecemeal proposals.

First off, much of this ought to sound very familiar. More money for "shovel ready" infrastructure projects, an umpteenth extension of unemployment benefits, a temporary payroll tax cut that is already in place and some targeted tax breaks for hiring. Not much new there. We all know the lackluster results created by the last round of these sorts of measures, which probably gives us a pretty good idea of the results this round will bring. So why are these alleged economic stimuli unlikely to produce significant results? Never fear, we here at the New Invisible Hand have a theory:

The first reason that Obama's "new" plan will fail even if enacted is the plan itself. The small piecemeal tax cuts for hiring are awash in red tape. The effort it takes for an employer to document how long a new employee has been unemployed and comply with all the criteria required to get the tax break eats away much of the benefit of the tax break. Second, the extension of unemployment benefits will act to keep unemployment high. Whenever you subsidize something, you will get more of it. Unemployment is no different. Some people will choose to remain unemployed and collect a check from Uncle Sam.

The overarching reason that Obama's "new" stimulus package will fail just as the last one did is Obama himself. Fairly or unfairly (We happen to believe fairly), Obama is viewed by the business community (the actual job creators) as anti-capitalist and therefore anti-business. So even when Obama proposes "pro-business" items such as tax breaks for hiring, there is a sense that he is only doing this out of desperation and does not fundamentally believe in these sorts of policies. And further, once there is some improvement in the economy, he will go back to his actual agenda that focuses on more taxes, more government spending, more redistribution of wealth and more regulation.

So long as Obama is in office, it will be difficult to convince job creators that they should take risks to expand, hire, start new businesses and otherwise engage in job creating activity because they don't believe that they will be rewarded for taking those risks. In fact with the anti-business Obama in office, taking such risks is a lose lose proposition for business. Either such risks will fail and their business will be damaged or they will succeed and then be faced with higher taxes and more regulation.

If we want job creation we need to elect a President that wants business to succeed and prosper. Voting Obama out of office in 2012 will do far more to spark job creation than any stimulus plan proposed in the interim.

Thanks for reading
