Yahoo Sports: On the surface it would seem a rematch should be brewing between UFC middleweight champion Anderson Silva and top contender Chael Sonnen, but are there forces at work that are trying to prevent that fight from happening?
Anderson Silva’s manager, Ed Soares, recently made comments in response to Sonnen’s challenge of the champion following his win at UFC 136 over Brian Stann.
Sonnen has said time and time again that he doesn’t believe his loss to Silva in 2010 was a real defeat, and he wants a rematch sooner rather than later.
“Take a number and get to the back of the line,” Soares told HDNet’s Inside MMA last week. “You had your opportunity.”
Why do I like Sonnen? For one he is a Republican who is being discriminated against by a bunch of commies and racists in the MMA world because he has conservative views. He actually won Oregon's Republican primary election for the House of Representatives, but dropped out for reasons unknown. The other reason is, he is the only fighter to kick the crap out of the phoney Anderson Silva.
There is so much bad blood and anti-American sentiment that Sonnen couldn't even attend the last fight in Brazil because they were afraid for his safety. The America hating racists down there actually want to kill him.
Yea, I know that Sonnen is no saint. I know he tested positive for growth hormone that he claimed was prescribed by his doctor (told the UFC about the prescription before his last fight), and I know that he was convicted of some crimes on some of his property deals, but that doesn't change the fact that he is a great fighter. And it does not change the fact that Silva wants nothing to do with climbing in the ring with him again. Despite the claim that Silva is the greatest fighter in the world.
That was made obvious when Silva threw a fit, trying to keep Sonnen from fighting because of his conviction. I can't say that I can blame him for trying after watching the ass kicking he received the first time, when Dana White got pissed and made him fight Sonnen as punishment for making an ass out of himself in another fight. The only other fight Silva has been in was with Dan Henderson, who also gave him a pretty good thumping before being caught in a submission.
But Sonnen's last win took the dodging option out of Spider's hands. He can't hide from Chael Sonnen any longer. He will be Anderson (make an ass out of myself) Silva's next fight.
I agree with what he said in an interview with "ProMmaNow." “I Am the True Middleweight Champion.”
ProMmaNow: Chael Sonnen has said that he is a man of his word. His word was good last evening, as he stifled and smothered Brian Stann with continuous take downs, and his brand of ground-and-pound before finishing the fight with an arm-triangle choke at UFC 136.
“It was a big relief and this was a big fight,” exclaimed Sonnen.
After the win, the trash talk immediately turned to UFC middleweight champion Anderson Silva. Sonnen wasted little time getting to the subject of Silva, and stated that if he were to lose a second time to the reigning champion, that he would never fight in the UFC again. Sonnen questioned why Silva would just simply smile at his comments, and promised that if he were the champ sitting in the audience, things would have went differently.
“If the roles would have been reversed, I would have come over the [cage] and shoved that microphone up his ass,” said Sonnen “but you saw what he did. He sat there. It was a good move.”
Whether he makes good on the promise of leaving the UFC if a second loss were to occur, depends on the outcome of a highly anticipated rematch between Sonnen and Silva which appears to be a bout that could happen in the very near future.
Sonnen later issued a loser leave town challenge, and asked for the rematch to take place on Super Bowl weekend (Feb. 4, 2012). Again, Sonnen insisted that with a loss, he would “leave the UFC forever,” and called for the UFC to forever banish Silva from the ranks of middleweight should he unseat the champion.
“I’ve got plenty of money and plenty of fame. I’m after twelve pounds of gold,” said Sonnen. “As far as I’m concerned, that belt is nothing but a piece of tin when it’s around [Silva’s] waist. I am the true middleweight champion.”
Here is a link to Sonnen's comeback fight where he got on the mic and told Silva "you absolutely suck."
Winning this fight put him in contention to Challenge Silva again for the title again.
Now For The Fight Prediction -- If Sonnen Shames Him Into A rematch
This fight is going to go for the most part like their first meeting. This time Silva will put on a combination break dancing/ ice-skating display, much like he did in UFC 112. He will make a total ass out of himself again, but it won't do him any good. That leaves us with two possible outcomes.
1. Sonnen is going to come out and throw Silva on the mat and start beating on him as before, but this time when he realizes that he is in for another five rounds of head thumping, he will take the cowards way out by faking some sort of injury. I look for him to puss out in the third.

2. Sonnen wil make Silva's head look like a pumpkin for three rounds, and then he will submit him by rear naked choke in the forth.
That is my prediction. Come back after the fight and rub it in if I am wrong.
Oh and in case you forgot what Sonnen did to Silva the last time they fought, watch this video.
Here was my prediction of Silva's last fight.
Silva vs. Okami: Okami is just one more in a long line of punching bags that Dana White has hung in front of the over hyped Anderson Silva. The fact that he is all hype was pretty much proven by Chael Sonnen when he did just what he said he was going to do in UFC 117, “kick his prissy little ass all over the ring” for twenty-four minutes and fifty seconds. Siva in an amazing piece of luck was able to pull out a last minute desperation move to submit Sonnen with just seconds to left. Silva incredibly survived one of the worst beatings in UFC history.
White was pissed at Silva for his bizarre behavior, when he jigged around making a total ass of himself in the previous fight. Out of anger he put him up against a real fighter just to teach him a lesson.
But that is all forgotten now; White is back to hyping Silva, and back to having him fight sacks of feed.
The only thing that makes this fight interesting is the news that Okami has been training with Sonnen. That means that Okami is going to try in vain to do what Sonnen did so successfully. The only thing this extra training is going to do is make the fight last a little longer. He is nothing more than a sack of feed with a little training from a real fighter.
Look for Okami to put on a better fight than most people expect, but to fall by knock out in the second.

Anderson Silva destroys Yushin Okami
Despite a slow opening round, Anderson Silva offered a glimpse of what was to come in the second with a lightning quick head kick late in the first. In the second it was vintage Silva, as “The Spider” pounded Okami and let him to return to his feet following a knockdown before pouncing after sending him down again and finishing the fight with strikes on the ground.
With the win over Okami, Silva avenged the last official loss on his record and extended his UFC records to nine consecutive title defenses and 14-straight wins. The fight also marked the first time Yushin Okami has been stopped since losing to Armenian fighter Amar Suloev outside the UFC in 2003.
Silva is all hype -- let's look at his UFC record.
