Defense Cuts Have Forced The Army To Start Selling Video Games

This is an interesting piece from waznmentobe. Obama has been so busy cutting the military expenses that they have been reduced to sell toys to generate revenue.

The United States Army will introduce its own brand of video gaming peripherals as part of promotion efforts targeting young men, it’s been announced.

The range of weapons and communications gear is designed to work with some of the world’s most popular titles, such as Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3.

The peripherals include an “Elite Force Assault Rifle”, a “Sniper Action Rifle” and a “covert style” throat microphone for multiplayer action.

CTA DigitalTM, the firm making the officially-endorsed peripherals for PlayStation 3, Wii and Xbox, said it was “honoured” to be involved.

Get all the peripheral details here:

The Army should be “targeting” young muslim men. I really don’t see the point in this as a recruiting tool since Obama is planning to layoff a half million troops. So the only reasonable explanation is to generate revenue. It’s a damn shame seeing our military reduced to “Santa’s Little Helpers.”
