It's Abortion, Stupid

The real argument over a supposed republican banning of contraception, although the option was only mentioned by liberal media, never by actual republicans, and the person-hood bill is over abortion.  Again.

To review, conception is when sperm meets egg.  Contraception prevents or disrupts that meeting.  The wording "fertilized egg is human" allows for most of what a contraception pill does.  It prevents or disrupts the sperm and egg meeting through hormonal manipulation in one of 4 ways;
1) Causing the woman to either, not produce an egg (ovulation suppression)
2) Block the sperm causing thicker cervical mucus
3) Fallopian tube movement which reduces the possibility of the ovum being fertilized
4) Causing a thinning of the endometrium, which makes it difficult for a fertilized egg to attach properly (implantation).

The wording of the person-hood bill trips on implantation.  Technically it's a fertilized egg or human that is flushed out.

Republicans do not wish to ban contraception as leftists suggest.  It's an "objective news" ratings exaggeration.  Certainly condoms, diaphragms or other methods of physically blocking the sperm and egg from meeting are legal under the person-hood wording.

Tubal ligations and vasectomies prevent the meeting from ever happening.  And the Church approved rhythm method or college used "pull and pray" are not only legal, but free (but less effective being based on human timing.)  Even 3/4ths of what the pill does is approved from the most liberal media offensive, person-hood legislation.

It's not about contraception.  It's about abortion.

The debate can't be solved through bigger government.  It can only be solved through science.  In the meantime, let's err on the side of caution and make the practice, as one liberal politician more eager to salvage his career than follow his ideology said, "Abortion should be legal but very, very, very rare."  (Note "very" used 3 times.)

Imagine if I said, "My aunt had a face transplant!"  You'd respond, "That's terrible!  Isn't that procedure very, very, very rare?  Is she okay?  Is there anything I can do?"

Now apply it accordingly; "My aunt had an abortion!"  "That's terrible!  Isn't that procedure very, very, very rare?  Is she okay?  Is there anything I can do?"
