Abortion is still wrong
If life begins at conception, almost everyone would agree
that abortion is wrong. If it doesn’t, abortion would still be wrong if God
exists and doesn’t approve. Choosing to have an abortion is a secondary choice.
Choosing to have premarital sex is the primary choice and the baby is a
consequence – assuming this is the most likely cause of an abortion.
Pro-choice people seem to be saying, “We don’t know if
abortion is murder or displeasing to God, so let’s allow it.” Pro-life people
seem to be saying, “We don’t know if abortion is murder or displeasing to God,
so let’s avoid it.” With millions of lives per year potentially on the line, the
second choice would seem to be the safest. Also, responsible sexual behavior
would eliminate the need for most abortions.
There is a certain risk involved
in supporting abortion. One day, those who support abortion may have to stand
before the judgment seat of God, explain their actions and take the
consequences. Pro-lifers will probably face fewer consequences if they are
wrong.
By the way, I believe that God exists and does not approve
of most abortions. I’m sticking with the safe choice.
