Who cares? We’re talking about the mandate portion of the bill!
Tax, penalty, gift, or whatever you chose to call it, it amounts to almost nothing. The individual Mandate affects only a small number of people, not enough to get riled up about.
Don’t get me wrong, attacking the individual mandate was the right course in fighting the constitutionality of the bill. In fact, most would argue it was the only course. But, now that the court has ruled, conservatives need to forget about the individual mandate!
