On Monday, Fox & Friends brought on panelists Zerlina Maxwell, a Democratic strategist, and Pete Snyder, a Republican strategist, to discuss how to proceed regarding questions about who knew what when when it came to security threats in Benghazi.
Maxwell cautioned those involved not to politicize the situation, but to focus instead of what caused the attacks that resulted in the death of a U.S. ambassador.
Snyder, meanwhile, said he found it “absolutely disgusting” that Vice President Joe Biden “stood in front of the nation and looked at Paul Ryan and looked at the moderator and said they didn’t know about that, the request for more security. When is ‘we’ used by an administration? Joe Biden saying Michelle, Barack and I didn’t know it? Usually, when the sitting vice president of president means we, they mean the United States government.”
The two panelists then became embroiled in an argument, speaking over one another regarding whether there was a “cover up” at play. Snyder said he found it “appalling” that Hillary Clinton is being made to bear the brunt of the blame. “I mean, Scooter Libby had people hanging out of his trees in his driveway; Susan Rice needs that as well,” he concluded.
