In the aftermath of the Zimmerman verdict, calls for “Justice for Trayvon” have now morphed into chants of “No Justice, No Peace.” That is to say the case is not over for a large segment of the population.
And, how could it end considering the despicable way this case was depicted, and continues to be depicted in the media by the likes of CNN and NBC, just to name a few.
A white man gunned down an unarmed black teen. How can this happen in 2013…we've come so far as a nation!
Now that’s a story!
A story that promised to “have legs” so long as it was presented in a manner that riled the minions, meaning so long as they controlled the information disseminated to the public. NBC’s cherry picked (altered?) statement of “He looks black” was enough to get the ball rolling, and it grew from there.
Race baiters such as Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson saw an opportunity of renewed relevance as they rushed to the tiny town of Sanford, FL, to conjure up memories of the “old south...”
