While millions of Americans are watching their individual polices get canceled due to ObamaCare regulations, the new health care rules are also having a major impact on college campuses. For decades, universities and colleges have offered students bare-bones policies. But because of the Affordable Care Act, those policies no longer cut it – and universities are forced to decide whether to offer significantly higher-cost plans or cancel coverage altogether.
Even though most college students think they know it all, they don't; especially, many of these students helped Obama get into the White House in 2008 and 2012. All I can say, "You made your bed. Now, sleep in it!" Pro-Obama supporters didn't learn from their first and second mistake. It is time to fully understand what conservatives were warning about. It is time to pay the piper. Democrats and Independents can't be blamed for being short sighted. It is call personal responsibility. It is time for these naive group of people suffer the consequences of their immature action.
It is important to note that everybody becomes affected. If college students lose their health benefits, it will be the burden of their parents to help. Since Obama supported a law to allow parents to keep their child under the parents insurance til age 26, it will affect many parents with a strict household budget. It will burden the emergency rooms because hospitals can't deny care, and that will increase healthcare cost.
This issue has ramifications that can affect the economy. It doesn't affect only the college student, but it will affect many individuals directly and indirectly.
