Pelosi and the Old Guard Fold: How Progressive Democrat Socialist Wing Took Over Washington

ðŸ’¥ Pelosi and the Old Guard Fold: How the Progressive Democrat Socialist Wing Took Over Washington

There’s an old adage that says, “Power tends to corrupt, and absolute power corrupts absolutely.” Lord Acton’s warning from 1887 echoes through the halls of Congress today, as longtime Democratic leaders quietly exit the stage—some with grace, others with frustration. The official reasons? Age, legacy, or “passing the torch.” But beneath the surface, many believe the real story is one of ideological pressure, party transformation, and the corrosive allure of power and profit.

🧨 The Progressive Takeover: From Big Tent to One Track

The Democratic Party once embraced a wide spectrum of voices—moderates, liberals, centrists. But in recent years, the rise of the progressive wing has shifted the party’s center of gravity. Policies once considered fringe—like defunding the police, universal basic income, and sweeping climate mandates—are now front and center.

For many seasoned Democrats, this shift feels like a betrayal of the party’s roots. They’re being asked to vote against their convictions, support policies they privately question, and conform to a new orthodoxy. Rather than face primary challenges or ideological purges, some are choosing to walk away.

🧓 Who’s Stepping Down?

Here are just a few of the prominent Democrats who’ve announced they won’t seek reelection in 2026:

• Nancy Pelosi (CA-11) – Former Speaker of the House, a towering figure in Democratic politics

• Jerry Nadler (NY-12) – Judiciary Committee veteran, known for his role in impeachment proceedings

• Lloyd Doggett (TX-37) – A respected voice on tax and healthcare policy, stepping down amid redistricting battles

• Sen. Jeanne Shaheen (NH) – A moderate voice in the Senate, retiring after decades of service

• Sen. Tina Smith (MN) – Known for her work on mental health and reproductive rights, not seeking reelection

• Sen. Gary Peters (MI) – Intelligence Committee member, stepping aside in a key swing state

These aren’t just retirements—they’re signals. Signals that the party’s internal dynamics are shifting, and that not everyone is willing to compromise their principles to stay in the game.

💰 Politics as Profit: The Corruption Behind the Curtain

Let’s be honest: politics has become a business. Campaigns are multimillion-dollar machines. Lobbyists write legislation. And lawmakers—once seen as public servants—now exit office with book deals, board seats, and stock portfolios.

Many enter Congress with modest means and leave as millionaires. Insider trading scandals, family connections, and post-retirement perks raise serious questions about who benefits from public office—and it’s not always the public.

🩺 Broken Promises and Public Distrust

From the Affordable Care Act’s shaky rollout to climate policies that seem more symbolic than effective, voters have grown weary of grand promises that don’t deliver. When politicians say “this will pay for itself” or “we’re saving the planet,” but the cost of living keeps rising and the planet keeps burning, trust erodes.

And when those same politicians fly private jets to climate summits or invest in fossil fuels while preaching green energy, the hypocrisy becomes impossible to ignore.

🧠 What Happens Next?

As the old guard exits and the progressive wing tightens its grip, the Democratic Party faces a reckoning. Will it recalibrate to reflect a broader spectrum of views, or continue down a path that alienates moderates and fuels public cynicism?

Because in the end, it’s not just about ideology. It’s about integrity. And as Lord Acton warned, “Power tends to corrupt, and absolute power corrupts absolutely.”

Bring It On Iran! USA Will Destroy You

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. The first week of the year brings a lot of stories from the media. It was nice to relax and not look what’s happening in the world. The season of Christmas for me was to go to church to celebrate the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ and the Solemnity of Mary, Mother of God. That was very important to me and not to be a sucker on the foolishness of men.

However, it didn’t stop me from listening to talk radio to catch up with the current events.

So far, Pelosi is justifying why she isn’t presenting the articles of impeachment to the Senate. It’s pretty weak. The MSM are pontificating rubbish on the television and radio. They are all in unison stating that Pelosi wants to make sure that the Senate can turn an impeachment into a conviction.  Of course, the Democrat Senate has no possible way to make that happen. They don’t have the votes. Technically, Pelosi is a damn hypocrite. The idea of a quid pro quo that the Democrats are blaming on the president is exactly what Pelosi is doing. Pelosi won’t give the articles of impeachment unless she gets something in return; a conviction.  That, my friend, is a quid pro quo, or in layman’s term, a bribery.

Through various media outlets, I can surmise that Pelosi screwed herself to a corner. She delayed presenting the articles of impeachment because there is no case. She won’t accept the terms of the Senate regarding how they will proceed with the trail. The Senate Republican Majority leader stated that the trial will follow the same rules under the Clinton impeachment trail. Back then, Schumer, Biden, Pelosi, and all the Democrats supported it. Now, they turned a blind eye and want more witnesses to be subpoena. This has turned into the circus.

The House is responsible to investigate and impeach. The House sends managers to represent the House during the Senate trial and defend the articles of impeachment. The Senate listens to the case, writes questions for the Supreme Court Justice Roberts, who will be presiding over the impeachment, to be asked, and then vote. The Democrats wants to change the whole procedure because the Democrats and the establishment hates the president. In my opinion, Pelosi is acting like an idiot. The Senate don’t care if Pelosi sends the articles of impeachment. She is screwing herself. I have read various articles and listened to talk radio that Pelosi strategy is not to impede the Iowa Caucuses and Super Tuesday. I won’t be surprised that the articles of impeachment would be release after a clear presidential Democrat front runner can be secured. Currently, after 6 debates, there is no one that stands out to take on Trump in the 2020 elections.

But enough of that. The new year brings another narrative. Trump gave the orders to kill an Iran military leader, Qasam Soleimani, who had been responsible for many American deaths, and various other high profiled leaders, who were enemies of the USA. While the media and the liberal Democrats are screaming we are entering a war with Iran, I want to say, “don’t get your panties in an uproar.” There won’t be a physical war. There are mentions of more Iranian drone attacks like the one with the Saudi oil fields, and a possible cyberattack. These are less concerning than going an all out war on Iran. First, Iran is in no position to fuck with the USA. Unlike the premise that war increases the economy and productivity, Iran is under strict sanctions from the world that it would be impossible to restart an economy. Because of strict sanctions, their trade has been hampered, double digit unemployment, sky rocketing inflation, and their people are revolting.

Because the USA stated that if they fuck with us and retaliate, the USA will strike very harshly. In return, Iran said they will restart their nuclear enrichment program. That is nothing new. Iran has been enriching uranium since the Obama Administration lifted sanctions. It just gives Iran and excuse to do what they have doing for years.

I place blame on Obama and his weak foreign policy. Allowing Russian to invade another country, lifting sanctions with Iran, letting China proliferate as a super power, and coddled North Korea, it will take Trumps economy and military strength to fix the stupidity of the former man-child president.

Pelosi Really Botched Trumps Impeachment

The House of Representatives on partisan support voted to impeach Trump. No Republican and a few Democrats voted not to impeach the president. That’s absolutely critical because if one Republican voted to impeach then it allow the Democrats to call it a bipartisan support.

Soon after the vote, Pelosi told reporters that she would threaten to withhold the two articles of impeachment to the Senate for a trail. This tells me she is a complete moron. Threaten what? What will that serve? Pelosi knew from the beginning that impeachment was political suicide. However, being pressed by rich donors of the elite establishment, she had no choice.

She lost bipartisan support. Adan Schiff lies continuously. Every witness during the public hearing unanimously said there wasn’t a quid pro quo, the transcript between Trump and the Ukraine President was accurate, and all the witnesses admit that the president is the only body that dictates foreign policy and not unelected bureaucrats. Also, every witness were based on secondary and third hand hearsay. Public support for impeachment is waning; especially, for the independents.

Pelosi and the Democrats held secret hearings, leaked closed door testimony to the press, kept the Republicans in the dark, and didn’t allow Trump due process to defend himself. This scenario is liken to Socialist courtroom trail.

Pelosi couldn’t decide how to label Trumps wrongdoing. They used quid pro quo. Since the public were neutral to the word, Pelosi coined bribery, but that was too strong. Extortion was used, but that was short lived. Now, the word obstruction became the word of the day. Of course, the two articles of impeachment of obstruction of congress and abuse of power are very general and weak. Just note, it is obstruction of congress and not obstruction of justice, which is a federal crime. That itself says that the Democrats don’t have a leg to stand on.

There is nothing Pelosi can do. She went over her head. She screwed it up so bad that it may cost her of her speakership and the House Democratic majority.
