Obama seemed to be showing some cracks in the armor Tuesday morning as he addressed the members of the press in the White House Press room. The gloomy face, and discouraging words indicated that he is frustrated with things in congress and the American Public. He chided congress about their inability to compromise, and the sequester. He spoke of it not being his job to make them cooperate, saying "That's their job." He certainly didn't seem confident of reaching a bipartisan broader deal on spending and taxes with the GOP. As the press politely laid out the problems that are going on now, Obama grew gloomy. When faced with all the conflict going on right now, he said, “If you put it that way, maybe I should just pack up and go home.” It was supposed to be a joke. No one laughed. He didn't even crack a smile. He knows the country is in trouble, and there is no remedy in sight. Lets have a look at some things he is facing heat for. Syria is a huge mess. A veritable hangman's noose for Obama. One of those damned if you do, damned if you don't situations. Syria is in full on self destruct mode. A conflict between a dictator and rebels who are no better, is making a bloody mess out of Syria. Also his administration has been caught virtually red-handed lying about sending arms to Turkey to aid Syria. When asked directly about it, Mrs. Clinton who was then outgoing Secretary of State, claimed no knowledge of such a thing, but now it is common knowledge that the U.S. has been doing it for nearly a year, with the full knowledge and support of the CIA. Now it is clear that someone, messed up with the Boston Bombers. They were on the terror watch list, the U.S. was warned by Russia of their actions. Yet somehow they collected welfare, and evaded our DHS. Who dropped the ball? Well, we really aren't sure, we just know that somehow, these people immigrated became citizens and used our own tax money to attack us on our own soil, even while warnings about them were ignored. Obama expressed irritation with the American Public, concerning Guantanamo bay, saying "Out of sight out of mind." in regards to the short attention span of the public. There seems to be no end in sight for GITMO detainees, despite Obama having promised to close it. Then there is that pesky Benghazi thing that just wont go away. Obama claimed ignorance of the belief that his administration is blocking the testimony of Benghazi witnesses saying, “I’m not familiar with this notion that anybody has been blocked from testifying. What I’ll do is I’ll find out what, exactly, you’re referring to.” Not familiar? Oh really, now please. If he is unaware of the allegations then he is either deliberately ignoring it, or incompetent. Victoria Toensing, a former Justice Department official and Republican counsel to the Senate Intelligence Committee, is now representing one of the State Department employees. She told Fox News her client and some of the others, who consider themselves whistle-blowers, have been threatened by unnamed Obama administration officials. “I'm not talking generally, I'm talking specifically about Benghazi – that people have been threatened,” Toensing said in an interview Monday. “And not just the State Department. People have been threatened at the CIA.” Then of course there was his pet project, the gun control bills that failed miserably to pass congress. He feigned shock that congress voted it down even though the vast majority of the press and people who follow such things, knew that it would fail. I mean honestly, support had plummeted for the measures, after the emotional shock had worn off the American public following the tragedy at Sandy Hook. So yeah, I get why Obama feels like quitting. If I were presiding over such a mess I would want to quit too. I would encourage Mr. Obama to quit, but that would stick us with Shotgun Joey Biden, who could if possible be worse. Perhaps Obama is finally seeing the fruits of his "labors" paying off as it should. For the most secretive administration ever, people are starting to wake up. Its gonna be a long 4 years Mr. President.
