What has happened to this country? Why do so many people and corporations lack backbone?

Time and time again we see people backing down because they cannot take pressure from a few loony lefties with big mouths.

Time and time again we see people backing down because they cannot take pressure from a few loony lefties with big mouths.

If there are about 320 million people in this country, what does it matter if five or ten thousand people attack you on Twitter? I think there are too many people with thin skins in this country today.

I bring this up because some little punk kid named David Hogg, who looks like he doesn’t even shave yet, planned a protest against Publix supermarkets. He was initiating a boycott of Publix over the grocery chain’s monetary support of a pro-NRA Republican who is running for Florida governor.

So naturally Publix caved by saying, “We would never knowingly disappoint our customers or the communities we serve.” As a result, we decided earlier this week to suspend corporate-funded political contributions as we reevaluate our giving processes.” Pussies!

I have to hand it to Ron DeSantis who is running for Governor in Florida, he Tweeted out, “I can’t understand why Publix would cave to such misguided and unfair complaints. The protests against Publix are ridiculous, who the heck wants people lying down in a supermarket? Shopping won’t be a pleasure if left-wing agitators get their way. I’ll always stand up for #2A.”

I wish they would have pulled this “die in” at the local Publix where I shop; I would have accidentally dropped a dozen eggs on them and maybe a gallon of milk too.

The one bright spot to this is Publix will stop all donations, even to the Lefties. You see Publix donated to all stripes, Left and Right, so we’ll see how long it takes for the Left to turn on this kid.

I’m using Publix as an example, but this is constantly going on, everywhere. Someone states an opinion and right away they get bombarded on Twitter, next thing you know they offer an apology. The Left wins because the Right is afraid to be bullied, standing up to bullies is the only way to win, I learned that lesson early in life.
