I guess it was about 10:00 PM when it was announced that Terry McAuliffe defeated Ken Cuccinelli to become the next Governor of the state of Virginia.
Almost immediately thereafter, the media pundits (you know the ones I mean) opined the loss as a “huge setback for the Tea Party Movement,” adding that “Virginia has been trending blue for some time now.”
Curious statements considering McAuliffe garnered less than 50% of the vote.
In fact, one could argue Cuccinelli would likely had won if not for presence of a third party candidate - - an argument you’ll hear from many conservative pundits today in the aftermath of the election.
And, an argument that’s probably true. But, let’s be clear, Ken Cuccinelli didn’t lose the race because Ross Perot…err…Robert Sarvis was in the race.
Ken Cuccinelli lost the race due to the actions of John Boehner, and his cronies, by their recent shutdown of the Federal Government...

RINO…And Proud of It?
Apparently I’m a RINO. And, not just a normal RINO… a “big-spending” one at that!
You see, I don’t care about a repeal of the medical device tax…at this time.
And, I don’t care if the individual mandate is put off for a year, or not.
Although, I do wonder “why not” in light of those organizations already receiving a delay, and/or waiver, from the effects of “Obama-Care.”
No…I want “Obama-Care” repealed in its entirety.
If that make me a RINO, I gladly assume the title. Just so long as we come up with another title for John Boehner, Mitch McConnell and the likes!
You see, I’m a realist. And, I realize the only way to repeal “Obama-Care” is with votes…votes the GOP simply doesn't have at this time!
With that in mind, why risk political repercussions in the 2014 election cycle, with a potential government shutdown today?
Democrats control the Senate and the Executive Branch…we’re outgunned on this one!
Even Ted Cruz, God bless his heart, would admit so.
While I respect Ted’s position (and select others), let’s look at the current budget negotiation from its eventual end result…

To Fund, Or Not To Fund…That Is The Question.
Better stated, is the battle over “Obama-Care” (now) a fight the GOP can win?
Ted Cruz believes so, as do other “Tea Party Anarchists” (as they’re now called). But, they are wrong.
Boehner’s stance today will morph into a compromise with Democrats towards a last minute deal, and GOP “RINO’s” will team with their peers on the left to pass a budget…err…continuing resolution funding the government through December.
Don’t get me wrong, I am not a fan of the “Affordable Care Act” and have already experienced its wrath:

Don’t get me wrong, I am not a fan of the “Affordable Care Act” and have already experienced its wrath:
I was promised lower premiums, yet mine have already increased by more than $100 a month, with an additional increase expected in 2014.
I was promised I could continue the long term relationship I enjoy with my preferred Doctors. Yet, many of them have chosen retirement than to comply with the new regulations.
I will not qualify for a subsidy to off-set the increased premiums, because I am considered “rich” under the legislation.I am one of the “Tea Party Anarchists” Harry Reid refers to, and want “Obama-Care” to disappear!
But, I’m also a realist...

A Message to Obama – the House – the Senate
by little tboca
Listening to John Boehner’s address today was not just disappointing; it was disgraceful that Republicans are once again playing American’s like a worn out fiddle. John talks about bi-partisan issues including the Keystone Energy Project extending unemployment benefits and payroll tax relief for Americans and finishes by say it cuts government spending.
The question that seems imminent is this, “Why even bother sending this bill to the Senate when you know Harry Reid is standing by his shredder awaiting its arrival? We know that President Obama will reject the Republican bill, because he threatened Congress before taking his 17 day vacation in Hawaii, saying “ he would reject the bill if it includes the Keystone Energy Project. “
We know that Canada’s Prime Minister (Steven Harper), although civil this week when he met with Obama isn’t about to wait on Obama’s sick political stance to delay any decision on this until 2013. Steven gave America a heads up and said, “Canada isn’t going to wait and will move forward with other customers, probably China.”
That’s straightforward language meaning “use it or lose it America,” either go forward with the Keystone Pipeline or consider the option off the table forever. Thousands of jobs are being lost because Obama is buying votes.
Boehner’s remark that the new Republican bill cuts Government spending and will be paid for over a span of 10 years is like a spoiled teenager who has maxed out all of your credit cards saying, “Gee, when I get thru college and land a job, I’ll pay it all back.”
Boehner is doing it again, first he throws out all the cool stuff for us to drool over and then if you read the fine print, we realize it’s going to cost us an arm and leg to pay for the bill.
Here’s what really happens tax relief given to the middle class, unemployment benefits extended is handed out the front door, but the cost of these benefits fly right out the back door increasing our National Deficit and putting more burden on all taxpayers.
No doubt we need tax relief and unemployment extensions, but when will Republicans and Democrats get it thru their heads that it must be paid for immediately by ruthlessly removing the politician’s sacred cows, downsizing Government, no more funding of NPR or Planned Parenthood etc., stopping the blood sucking grants that are sucking the life out of the taxpayers and so much more.
“Don’t spend it if you don’t have it to spend” - the irritating part is the Government has the money; they just don’t want to disturb their Political Elite Breakfast Club that has taken over our White House.
The Republicans have many “Aces in the hole,” but actually don’t want to disturb their old political establishment. They could start the impeachment process against the AG (Eric Holder) and they could ask the American people to vote on the KEYSTONE PIPELINE on National TV.
Obama rants and raves and says he can’t wait to create jobs for America, well, let him put his money where his mouth is this time. He also says in his speeches he’s gonna take it to the American people! So take it to the people, quite playing “Gotcha,” and “he said, she said.” Let our voice be heard!
Americans need a one stop Government Shopping Mall - one website that exemplifies the meaning of real transparency tells us daily what new bills are on the horizon, what is going on behind closed doors, what the Feds are doing, what Bernanke is doing, what the DOJ is doing and why our National Deficit keeps growing at the rate of 4.9 billion per day.
Americans want their voice back – Obama, the House and Senate are our employees and we’re on a need to know basis.
Frankly we don’t trust those in the White House and we’ve lost all confidence in their ability to run our Government.
May God Bless America

Conservatives Weaken National Security
Heritage Morning Bell has a terrific and horrifying analysis of exactly what the $1.2 Trillion cut in Defense means to our security. A summary of what this will mean to us in the next 10 years:
- Smallest ground force since 1940
- Smallest number of ships since 1915
- Smallest Air Force in US history
- Termination of F-35 Joint Strike Fighter
- Termination of all helicopter modernization
- Termination of all combat vehicle modernization
- Termination of all European missile defense
- Termination of all unmanned surveillance systems
- Elimination of our intercontinental ICBM capability
How could ANY congressperson (let alone a Republican) agree to the possibility of this kind of national security disaster when Obama had ALREADY cut $850 Billion from Defense spending?!
I had more faith my Chicago Bulls would offer me a spot on their 2012 NBA roster than that the so called Super Committee would ever come up with a plan acceptable to both parties even BEFORE the
Our Founding Fathers have turned in their graves so often during the past three years I suspect their skeletons are now resting in Seoul.
All of these are good men. Allen West and Paul Ryan especially have done great things for the conservative movement, which makes their role in this betrayal all the more painful. It is not just time to say, “Et tu Brute?” but to start asking those who allowed this to happen, what they will do now.
One of the greatest revelations Reagan had was how the Soviets operated. I don’t feel I’m too far off – or that many of you would disagree – that the modern Democrat party isn’t of a dissimilar mold to that of the Communist Politburo. I wish I could find the exact quote (someone post it in comments if you locate it) but at one point Reagan said something equivalent to, “for years in negotiating with the Soviets, we would propose to cut missiles, they would say no and we would come back the next time with another proposal of even more cuts to which they would also say no to. This has got to stop.” (Reagan’s 1981 speech of US arms offers here.)
Republicans have continued to play the ignorant dupe to Reid’s impersonation of Brezhnev. Regan understood that WHAT THEY SAID was not truly their game plan. And the GOP had better wise up quick, because Barack Obama is the Gigantor version of Brezhnev. With not a single move in the direction of the American public majority to cut spending, you have to come to the conclusion Barack Obama DESIRES a complete emasculation of American power. Forget the admission he ONLY hung out with Marxist radicals in college. Forget the fact that he has made nearly every move to overburden the country with debt, and refuses to give troops to defend our border while giving Mexican drug lords guns to kill our own border officers. The fact that he publicly admitted in a
In fact, it gives an even great credibility to the idea we should finally engage a full PR prosecution on his lack of eligibility to get EVERY law and policy he has signed and implemented immediately reversed.
I liked Boehner’s tough talk to Obama during the budget debate, but unlike others, I never once truly felt he understood the gravity of the issue. I am POSITIVE that Paul Ryan and Allen West now do. And although they have betrayed us once in not fighting more fiercely to stop these automatic defense cuts that will quite literally weaken our country, they now have a chance to speak up and no longer play politics as usual. NO longer will saying determined and angry things against Obama’s plan but DOING nothing to remove him will do. How about finally calling this for what it is:
TREASON.
Ryan and West have credibility that Bachmann (unfairly) does not. Reputations as being smart, serious legislators. It is time for them to use that to escalate this battle. In the end, West and Ryan have an opportunity to correct their poorly informed past decision for Boehner and be known as fictional Braveheart version of this:
Where are our Patriots? Who will love this country as much as our John Hancock and put their reputations on the line to challenge this status quo.
We need you. Not in 2012. We need you now.
