RINO…And Proud of It?

GOP RINO
Apparently I’m a RINO. And, not just a normal RINO… a “big-spending” one at that!

You see, I don’t care about a repeal of the medical device tax…at this time.

And, I don’t care if the individual mandate is put off for a year, or not.

Although, I do wonder “why not” in light of those organizations already receiving a delay, and/or waiver, from the effects of “Obama-Care.”

No…I want “Obama-Care” repealed in its entirety.

If that make me a RINO, I gladly assume the title. Just so long as we come up with another title for John Boehner, Mitch McConnell and the likes!

You see, I’m a realist. And, I realize the only way to repeal “Obama-Care” is with votes…votes the GOP simply doesn't have at this time!

With that in mind, why risk political repercussions in the 2014 election cycle, with a potential government shutdown today?
“But, Mr. Rooster…certainly the Democrats will take the blame for that”
And, I've got a bridge in New York to sell you…

Democrats control the Senate and the Executive Branch…we’re outgunned on this one!

Even Ted Cruz, God bless his heart, would admit so.

While I respect Ted’s position (and select others), let’s look at the current budget negotiation from its eventual end result…

To Fund, Or Not To Fund…That Is The Question.

Obamacare
Better stated, is the battle over “Obama-Care” (now) a fight the GOP can win?

Ted Cruz believes so, as do other “Tea Party Anarchists” (as they’re now called). But, they are wrong.

Boehner’s stance today will morph into a compromise with Democrats towards a last minute deal, and GOP “RINO’s” will team with their peers on the left to pass a budget…err…continuing resolution funding the government through December.

Don’t get me wrong, I am not a fan of the “Affordable Care Act” and have already experienced its wrath:
I was promised lower premiums, yet mine have already increased by more than $100 a month, with an additional increase expected in 2014.
I was promised I could continue the long term relationship I enjoy with my preferred Doctors. Yet, many of them have chosen retirement than to comply with the new regulations.
I will not qualify for a subsidy to off-set the increased premiums, because I am considered “rich” under the legislation.
I am one of the “Tea Party Anarchists” Harry Reid refers to, and want “Obama-Care” to disappear!

But, I’m also a realist...

Perhaps Patton Was Right?

Perhaps Patton was right in 1945?
"If we have to fight them, now is the time. From now on, we will get weaker and they will get stronger."
"I believe that Germany should not be destroyed, but rather should be rebuilt as a buffer to the real danger, which is Russia and its Bolshevism."
"Russia knows what she wants, World Domination...If we have to fight them, now is the time...."
"...the Third Army alone...could lick what is left of the Russians in six weeks."
But, as they say, “hindsight is 20-20!”

And, this time we have no Reagan to combat the ambitions of Putin who seeks to restore Russia (Soviet Union?) to prominence again.

Let’s be clear…Syria is a “loss leader” much like an item sold below cost to attract customers to a store.

Neither Russia nor their partner Iran could care less what happens in Syria. If Assad falls, they’ll deal with the rebels. If not, it’s business as usual.

Syria will remain a proxy of Iran (just like Iraq) and Russia will continue to provide technology to our enemy…though, they’ll be sure to maintain a technological edge because they too distrust Iran!

China distrusts them both, but will wait for the story to play out. They need the oil, and could care less who they deal with.

A pretty pickle Obama’s got himself into. A situation, I might add, that was predicted some time ago by this author and the gang at Sack Heads Radio.

I can only hope President Obama is feigning ignorance and realizes he’s being baited into attacking Syria or not attacking Syria…both “no-win” decisions.

A NSA Systems Administrator With A Dubious Background?

Do you really believe the National Security Agency (“NSA”) is that inept in its hiring practices?

We’ve already learned that Edward Snowden was not necessarily the “high school drop-out” we were led to believe initially.

And, I strongly suspect we’ll later find he was fully qualified, and fully vetted, for his position within the organization.

With that said, I don’t see him as the “hero” many are making him out to be. A “hero” does not seek refuge in China as he attempts to achieve “whistleblower” status.

Moreover, a “whistleblower” does not immediately release information to the media without having followed proper protocol first.

But, I don’t see Snowden as a traitor either. None of the information he’s released so far is surprising to our adversaries...

Three Card Monte With The Morning After Pill

The morning after pill debacle reminds me of a game of Three Card Monte:

A Federal Judge lays out the cards with his ruling that the pill should be made available to women of any age, without a prescription. No parental involvement needed.

Three cards - pick a winner.

President Obama states there should be an age limit on such purchases. We have a winner!

President Obama indicates he will appeal the Court’s ruling. ”Winner, winner, chicken dinner...”

It Was Never About The Stained Blue Dress...

It was the lies and deceit that followed!

Bill certainly wasn’t the first President to get a little “sumthin-sumthin” on the side, and probably won’t be the last.

But, Bill had one thing going for him our current leader doesn’t. He could govern!

That and that alone kept him in office in the aftermath of the Monica Lewinski scandal.

His ability to govern, a fact even Republicans would concede, allowed him to maintain support of his party, among others.

Barack Obama, on the other hand, appears as if he doesn't want to govern. He wants to sit on the throne and let others do it for him:

OBAMA'S SHOT AT IMMANENTIZING THE ESCHATON

What has always made the state a hell on earth has been precisely that man has tried to make it a heaven.  Friedrich Höderlin, German poet (1770-1843).

Conservatives have relegated President Obama’s standing with his leftist progressive/socialist base to a party joke. The left provides the ammo since they laughably refer to President Obama as their “messiah”, “the anointed one”, and their “Lord and Savior”. Conservative’s certainly enjoy mocking liberals, but what’s disturbing is these are actual accolades from the left praising the president. Conservatives are pretty clever, but they can’t make this stuff up. They can certainly take credit for ridiculing these preposterous tributes but not for concocting them. That dubious acknowledgment belongs solely to the left, and one doesn’t have to search far and wide for the sources of the left’s anomalous adoration for Mr. Obama. Remember, Mr. Obama is the leader of the political party that booed God!

The left’s regard for Mr. Obama’s awesome “messianic-ness” is ubiquitous, and sharing only a few examples of their god-like worship reveals their eerie obsession with the president’s cult of personality. Newsweek’s January 18, 2013 cover has a right-sided profile of the president (I guess it’s his good side) with the caption “The Second Coming”. Numerous celebrities have weighed in on the president’s ability to stroll on water, most notably Jamie Fox declaring Mr. Obama as his “Lord and savior”. If you’re in the market for one-stop “Obama the Omnipotent” shopping there is a website called “Is Barack Obama the Messiah?” devoted solely to the “prophet of the progressive” replete with “Obama conversion stories”. I’m not sure if this website is a gag since it’s effusive worship of Mr. O is so over the top, but given the transcendence conferred on him by his admirers I’m betting it’s for real. If so it captures quite well how Mr. Obama’s acolytes have faith that he will “immanentize the eschaton”.

Debt ceiling: Simple math and simple lies!

Simple math that clearly shows why, when Barack Obama says that if the debt ceiling is not raised it will be the fault of House Republicans and the US will default on its debt as well, the President is clearly lying!

Obama (or someone in his administration) is No Idiot

Sometimes you hear from the right, this outcry of how stupid Obama is, how he's ignorant and doesn't know how the economy works. Well, I'm not here to argue he's the #1 source on how to get the economy moving, but he's a genius. Back in 08' I thought, "Here is this senator who speaks pretty well and he's got his act down, but he's not a threat to Republicans because he's just not smart enough. He wasn't smart enough to know that if he wants to be president, that he needed to do at least something while in the senate. Plus, we don't really know if his policies work, because we haven't seen any bills sponsored by him go into effect." But unfortunately, just like last november, I was wrong about Obama's charisma, appeal, and charm, which carried the day. But that's not all. Someone, maybe Obama, maybe Axelrod, has been making political moves up there with the likes of Karl Rove and Lee Atwater (remember him). While there are tons of political moves which I could talk to you about, there's no need to dwell on the past, let me give you two examples happening right now. First, Obama refused to compromise with Boehner, whom he knows will do what it takes to compromise, so Boehner keeps coming back to Obama making better deals for him, which makes him seem unprincipled and causes and even bigger divide among the republican party (as if the rift between the tea party people and the moderates wasn't big enough) which makes an ineffective party, making it easier to for the democrats to pass their agenda. Second, Obama wants to see the middle class and the upper class get taxed higher. Much higher. So he will keep refusing Boehner's offers and then when he dramatically raises taxes, Obama will say, "Well Republicans couldn't meet in the middle and I was forced to raise taxes" coming out looking like roses. Click here if you want to know more about the scary truth.

FOUNDING FATHERS HAUNT OBAMA

Founding Fathers Know Best, by Ross Edward Puskar. Hugo House Publishers, 2012 vii + 283 pp., Amazon price $17.95 paperback; $9.95 Kindle.

Have you ever wondered what America’s founding fathers would say to President Barack Obama? Imagine the rhetorical thunder that would ensue from that clash of philosophies. If you’ve been anxiously awaiting such a meeting then you’re in luck. Ross Edward Puskar brings them together in his book Founding Fathers Know Best

Mr. Puskar’s first foray into political fiction cleverly inculcates American history with current events through a literary narrative that pays homage to Dickens A Christmas Carol. In Founding Fathers Know Best there is a club known as the President’s Club. The club is comprised of the spirits of deceased U.S. presidents, and it’s purpose is for the spirits to visit sitting Presidents so that they may impart their wisdom and counsel. As one may surmise the president of the club is George Washington, who personally selects the apparitions that visit each sitting president.

The Mainstream Media is Out to Defeat Mitt Romney, and What Romney Must do to Win the First Presidential Debate of 2012

by Mark A. Cohen

When Mitt Romney put out his 59 point plan for America, the left said there were too many points. Now he has a 5 point plan and they say he’s not specific enough. As we know, the Mainstream Media (MSM) is teaming up with the left to support our president. On This Week, Face the Nation, and on Meet the Press on Sep. 23, 2012, the hosts, David Gregory, Bob Schieffer, and George Stephanopoulos, continually pushed liberal talking points. Instead of covering the Arab Winter and President Obama’s mishandling of it, they spoke instead of Romney’s as a failing campaign as if rooting against it… Stephanopoulos gave away the MSM’s strategy by warning us all, “Voters are going to be hearing about that leaked video (Romney’s ‘47%’ comment) every single day.” The MSM wants us to believe that all the skewed polls, which contain a vast over-sampling of Democrats - and assume the 2008 turnout for 2012, reveal that the president is way ahead. Quoting Peggy Noonan of all people, they said that the Romney campaign is a ‘rolling calamity.’ “Can he [Romney] turn it around?” Gregory asked. Chuck Todd, of MSNBC, analyzed that if you give the president just one toss-up state, he wins. Great. I hope all that false optimism keeps the Democrats home on election night!

Ever notice how the media never concentrates on the Democrats’ goofs? You know, during the 2008 campaign, then candidate Obama said he thought he still needed to visit the rest of the 57 states… He also said, “So it's not surprising then that they [people who live in small towns] get bitter, they cling to their guns or religion or antipathy toward people who aren't like them or anti-immigrant sentiment or ... uh, anti-trade sentiment as a way to explain their frustrations.” How many times have we heard that ignorant statement in the MSM over the last 4 years? Not much. Which reporter has ever called him out on it? Not one of them.

On Meet the Press on Sep. 23, 2012, David Gregory continued his assault on the former Massachusetts governor by concentrating on his tax returns and income. Don’t we have to ask, “Why is that so important?” Gov. Romney, while being filmed at a fund-raiser by a Democratic plant, said that 47% of the population won’t vote for him. Gregory took this 47% comment, highlighted it, took out of context by saying he meant that he didn’t care about those folks, and then swung it to Gov. Duvall Patrick (D-MA) who spoke for President Obama on the subject. Sen. Kelly Ayotte (R-NH), whose name Gregory had trouble pronouncing for some reason, spoke positively about Mr. Romney and his policies. Gregory challenged Ayotte to come up with some positive points - and she did, but they were predictably ignored by the show’s host.

Gregory, under the headline, “The Debate over the 47%, The Role of Government,” talked Romney down non-stop, never let up on the left-wing belief that Romney’s comment put people down. The debate should be about the issues, not Mitt Romney’s taxes, and not an in-artfully crafted comment by the Republican nominee. Hopefully, Mr. Gregory will get many chances to pronounce Sen. Ayotte’s name correctly in the near future.

So, what will Mitt Romney need to do in tomorrow’s debate? He must be gentle while refuting the silly points the president will offer, such as ‘this is a return to the Bush policies’ and ‘trickle down doesn’t work.” These statements mean that conservative policies didn’t make the lefties rich. They’re right, they won’t. But these policies do create jobs, unlike the foolish, wasteful, and destructive stimulus spending programs. Mr. Romney must point out that if you create 4.5 million jobs, as President Obama claims, but lose 8.5 million, that’s a net loss of 4 million jobs. Yeah, we know we need teachers and construction workers, Mr. President, but hiring them by the tens of thousands today won’t pull us out of a bad economy. Duh.

The governor needs to show that Obamacare, created in a smoky back room - without any Republican input, is a failure, just like the president’s lack of leadership. Mr. Obama failed to lead the Congress by forging working relationships, as Presidents Reagan did with Tip O’Neill and President Clinton did with Newt Gingrich. Partisanship happens only when the U.S. president can’t or won’t gain a compromise. President Obama shouldn’t blame it on the Republicans, and shame on him for doing so. Romney must emphasize that the current president’s lack of leadership in the Middle East (soft policy with Libya and Egypt on one hand, and spiking the football over the killing of Bin Laden at the Democrats’ convention on the other) caused the recent chaos there. And Romney must show that this has been the worst recovery since the 1930’s, and give specifics on how he and Paul Ryan will bring it back. There will be a better tax climate for business and investors, and more jobs. Yes, we did build it.

Mitt Romney must win the first debate, hands down. He must then win the others, and then the presidency. If we elect him, America will recover quickly. If we do not, the country will spiral out of control, downward. Without a strong foreign policy the world will become more dangerous and unfriendly to America. Without a clear energy policy and a plan for drilling, oil and other energy prices will continue to increase, as the current president has said he wants. The Tea Party will, by 2016, either way, become the major political force in America and if Romney loses now, it will, with the work of countless patriots, take a devastated U.S. along with its demoralized population and failed economy back from the social justice folks in four years. If Romney wins, the Tea Party will be his greatest asset and strongest ally, and it will feel once again like the America we once knew.

CONSTITUTIONAL CONVERSATIONS SEGMENT FOUR: A LIVING CONSTITUTION?

In segment four of Constitutional Conversations Dr. Richard Brake and Dennis Gallagher discuss how a faction in America that took hold in the early part of the 20th century known as “progressives” were making strides to interpret the Constitution’s principles in a much different manner than perhaps America’s founders, federalists and anti-federalists alike, intended.

Conjuring Up Memories Of Ronald Reagan

Looks like The Daily Kos and the likes have received their marching orders...President Obama is no different than Ronald Reagan. I suppose this will play on throughout the election cycle.

While we've already picked apart the liberal argument that Reagan would have supported the "Buffet Rule", I say god bless or liberal friends...because "they know so much that isn't so" (no pun intended)!

Stretching the truth may give you a temporary polling bump, but that bump fades when people are reminded of the biggest difference between Ronald Reagan and our current leader...RESPECT. Respect from not only Americans but from those around the world, as well! - - Read More

OBAMA'S 2013 BUDGET IS AMERICA'S GREEK TRAGEDY

If we recall those cheesy Greek columns that were the backdrop for the DNC convention at Denver’s Invesco Field stadium in August 2008 we may have initially thought those pillars to simply represent the DNC's pitiful hero worship of some mysterious, unknown, small time Chicago politico named Barack Hussein Obama as their party’s candidate for President of the United States. Little did anyone realize that this garish Greek metaphor was a foreshadowing of the grand plan for the progressive/socialist’s “Apollo” to deliberately destroy America’s economic hegemony and replace it to resemble Greece’s financial decay.

President Obama’s Greek recipe for America’s financial demise is undeniably laden with poisonous ingredients (deficit spending, mounting debt, and class warfare tax threats), but at least the manner in which he “stirs the sauce” has one saving grace; it’s predictable. During his tenure as President his 2010, 2011 and 2012 fiscal year budgets had a consistent theme to dismantle America’s economic fabric. Those three budgets were systematic plans to spend in excess of revenues and balloon America’s national debt instead of fostering economic growth.

Now, in the face of a national debt crisis wherein the national debt exceeds GDP and a downgrading of America’s global credit rating, President Obama continues that theme with his 2013 fiscal year budget. In baseball vernacular he’s four-for-four. To support this notion The Wall Street Journal deftly summarized President Obama’s annual budget proposals from 2010-2013 that illustrate his uncanny resolve year in and year out to bankrupt America:

  • Four years of spending of more than 24% of GDP, the four highest spending years since 1946. In the current fiscal year of 2012, despite talk of austerity, Mr. Obama predicts spending will increase by $193 billion to $3.8 trillion, or 24.3% of GDP.
  • Another deficit of $1.327 trillion in 2012, also an increase from 2011, and making four years in a row with deficits above $1.29 trillion.
  • Revenues are at historic lows because of the mediocre recovery. The White House budget office estimates that for the fourth year in a row tax revenues won't reach 16% of GDP. The last time they were below 16% for any year was 1950.
Also according to the WSJ all of the above has added an astonishing $5 trillion in debt  during President Obama’s first presidential term. National debt held by the public will approximate 74.2% in 2012 and keep rising to 77.4% next year (see below chart 1). Economists believe that when debt to GDP reaches 90% the economic damage begins to risk--think Greece.

Chart1: The public portion of the national debt is now approaching 80% of GDP. Economists believe that when public debt-to-GDP ratios reach 90% the economic damage begins to rise.

Holistically the Obama 2013 budget is fundamentally just a cut and paste from his previous three spending spree budgets freshened up with some new and improved class warfare tax hikes and updated with his perennial smoke and mirror accounting and spending gimmicks. A topside review of President Obama’s latest schematic for bankrupting America comes courtesy of the U.S. Senate Republican Policy Committee, with the committee’s overarching comment that “President Obama’s fiscal year 2013 budget increases spending every year, proposes the largest tax increase in history, burdens the country with more debt, and never balances the budget”. The following are the RPC’s highlights:

Spending, Spending and more Spending
  • President Obama’s 2013 budget spends $3.8 trillion, runs a deficit of nearly $1 trillion.
  • The 2013 budget includes total ten year spending of $47 trillion, $11 trillion of it borrowed.
  • Proposed fiscal year 2013 spending is 23.3% of GDP. In FY 2022, well after the White House says the economy should have recovered, spending is 22.8% of GDP, far higher than the country’s 40-year average of 20.6% of GDP.

Deficits, Deficits and more Deficits
  • President Obama’s budget can barely bring the deficit below $1 trillion; the fiscal year 2013 budget deficit is projected to be $901 billion.
  • At the end of President Obama’s 10-year budget window in FY 2022, there is still a deficit of $704 billion.

Debt, Debt and more Debt
  • President Obama’s budget calls for $11.2 trillion in additional gross debt from fiscal year 2012 to fiscal year 2022.
  • Under the President’s budget Gross National Debt will total $26 trillion in fiscal year 2022 under this budget, and annual interest costs on the debt will be $850 billion.

Class Warfare Taxes, Taxes and more Taxes
  • The Obama budget raises taxes by nearly $1.9 trillion from 2013 to 2022, the largest tax increase in U.S. history.
  • President Obama raises taxes on people making more than $200,000 or couples making over $250,000. The two new tax brackets for those making over these amounts would be 36% and 39.6%.
  • The President’s budget reinstates the limitation on itemized deductions for high-income earners; provisions could add 2% or more to a taxpayer’s rate.
  • Limits the value of itemized deductions for high earners to 28%.
  • For upper-income taxpayers, capital gains would be taxed at 20%. The current rate is 15%.
  • The estate tax would be reinstated at 2009 levels.
  • President Obama calls for his favorite class warfare tax known as the "Buffett Rule", but does not include an actual proposal for how to implement it.

Additionally any of the President’s future deficit reductions are basically accounting shell games. They are Budget Control Act cuts already in place and $848 billion in discredited phantom “savings” from the wind-down of operations in Iraq and Afghanistan. So, in a word, President Obama’s fiscal year 2013 budget has no actual deficit reduction measures.

When it comes to managing the greatest threat to America’s economic system, and the cause for Greece’s economic downfall, Medicare, Medicaid and Social Security entitlements, President Obama has again kicked the can down the road. According to the Heritage Foundation “by the middle of this century, these three programs and ObamaCare will consume about 18 percent of GDP, soaking up all the historical average of federal tax revenue”.

Critics of the Obama budget are not limited to the RPC or conservative think tanks. Dana Milbank, hardly a card-carrying conservative, reviewed the President’s 2013 fiscal year budget and made the following rebuke,
“The White House’s budget for fiscal 2013 begins with a broken promise, adds some phony policy assumptions, throws in a few rosy forecasts and omits all kinds of painful decisions. Even then, the proposal would add $1 trillion more to the national debt than Obama contemplated a few months ago — and it is a non-starter on Capitol Hill, where even Senate Democrats have no plans to take it up.”

Another Obama budget, another blueprint for bankrupting America and another display of cowardice and inability on the part of President Obama to display any semblance of leadership to present a serious plan for reinstating America’s solvency. Predictable? Yes. As will be the American version of a Greek tragedy unless true leadership is installed in America’s Oval office.

AMERICA'S QUEST FOR THE PRUDENT PRESIDENT

The multiplicity of challenges that confront an American President animate Murphy’s Law, to wit, "anything that can go wrong will go wrong". This adage should be indelibly ingrained in the Oval office ceiling a la Michelangelo’s Sistine Chapel fresco. In fact I suggest an amendment to Article II, Section 4 of the Constitution to state, “Any attempt to remove this warning from the Oval office ceiling is an impeachable offense”. This eccentric effort to caution America’s chief executives of the perils of the job may seem a smidgen over zealous, but it’s energy emanates from the seeming lack of prudentiality exhibited by the current occupant of America’s highest office.

If there is one quality that is essential for American Presidents to inhabit it is the virtue of prudence. Prudence is one of Christianity’s four cardinal virtues along with justice, fortitude and temperance. Prudence is known as the “mother” of all the virtues since it is both a moral and intellectual virtue and is considered the measure of the three other cardinal virtues. A prudent person recognizes their moral duty and the good means to accomplish it. They know the good and they do the good. St. Thomas Aquinas succinctly defined prudence to be “right reason in action".

Prudence is elevated as the supreme virtue endemic to the true statesman and for maintaining good government. To quote Russell Kirk from his book “The Politics of Prudence”,
“To be “prudent” means to be judicious, cautious, sagacious. Plato, and later Burke, instruct us that in the statesman, prudence is the first of the virtues. A prudent statesman is one who looks before he leaps; who takes long views; who knows that politics is the art of the possible.”
Prudence was distinguished by our founding fathers as the beacon for maintaining a stable government and ordered society. They memorialized this belief in the preamble to Declaration of Independence wherein it states, “Prudence, indeed, will dictate that governments long established should not be changed for light and transient causes”.

If the prudent person is one with the acuity to govern and lead through responsible deliberation and ethical and moral action, then the American presidency, due to its supremacy over economic, military and global affairs and it’s influence in societal mores, is the public office most demanding of this virtue. But prudence is surely not a ubiquitous characteristic that is readily representative in every sitting President or any given crop of presidential candidates. It is a virtue acquired and perfected by experience, and it is woefully absent in the character of America’s current chief executive.

President Obama’s apologists will deem his policy failures as a result of his inexperience or perhaps the misfortunes of an inherited economic calamity. Nevertheless his record as chief executive is an example of manifest imprudence rife with carelessness and partisanship bordering on the corrupt and the criminal. President Obama’s policy failures have taken America on the road to Avernus with his two-pronged strategy of (1) economic bankruptcy and (2) undermining America’s First Principles and the Constitution.

The litany of President Obama’s offenses is extensive, but among the nefarious accounts are his efforts to rectify a damaged American economy through a taxpayer-funded trillion dollar stimulus package rife with political cronyism; circumventing constitutional authority and congressional oversight by appointing a plethora of presidential czars; appropriating a sixth of the American economy through constitutionally-challenged health care reform; pitting state against nation on health care reform and immigration enforcement and citizen against citizen with his class warfare rhetoric. He ordered the Justice department to not defend federal statutes (DOMA) and abandoned America’s allies in Eastern Europe (Poland and Czechoslovakia) and the Middle East (Israel). While the world awaits a cogent foreign policy doctrine amidst global Arab uprisings and terrorist-state nuclear development President Obama tramples on the sacrosanct First Amendment rights of the Roman Catholic Church.

It is not simply President Obama's wrongheaded public policy that is troubling, but his honest disdain for those who venerate a divinity. He was recorded for posterity when he sarcastically described a faction of the electorate that “…cling to guns or religion”, attacking not only their belief systems but also their constitutional rights under the First and Second Amendments.

This is hardly the stuff of the prudent leader. No, these are not the missteps of inexperience or the product of a legacy presidency. These are the results of the careful planning of a foolish, close-minded and stubbornly selfish collectivist ideologue unwilling to recognize his mistakes and their lasting effects on the society he has sworn to defend and protect.

Of all the necessary leadership traits for an American President prudence is paramount since it fuses wisdom with good governance, and if not Mr. Obama to inhabit this virtue then who? As America faces the 2012 presidential election it approaches a crossroad of choices for the country’s direction and prudence is the virtue of choice for presidential consideration.

The GOP candidates vying for their party’s nomination certainly trump Mr. Obama in terms of experience in governance. The question remains as to whether they possess the prudence to govern in a wise and good fashion. The sheer magnitude of this question should cause the electorate to look within themselves and introspectively search their very souls for prudence when selecting America’s next President.

Eric Holder has to Go

After today's testimony to the Senate Judiciary Committee, I am convinced that Attorney General Eric Holder needs to resign or be fired.

Holder refused to offer an apology to the family of Brian Terry, a Border Patrol agent who was killed last December. Weapons that were part of the Fast and Furious operation were found at the scene of his death.

Instead, Holder said that he "regrets" what happened and that it is "not fair to assume" that mistakes in the operation "directly led" to Terry's death.

This kind of behavior is unbecoming of an Attorney General, or any high-level government official.

At no point during the investigation into Fast and Furious has Holder accepted any amount of responsibility for the failure of the operation.

That seems to be the theme of this administration. The President has created a culture of finding others to take the fall and not being accountable.

Holder and Obama forget that they are accountable to the American people.

Congressman Paul Broun (R-GA) on Fox News today called on the President to fire Holder and said that the Attorney General should be prosecuted for lying under oath. According to Rep. Broun, "no one is above the law, not even the Attorney General."

I agree. We need to hold our leaders to the same, or even higher, standards than we do ourselves.
Unfortunately, this administration is only concerned with who gets the blame and not with solving the problems.

Fast and Furious is not going away. I expect the Republican candidate to use this next year during the campaign.

The failure of Eric Holder to properly administer his department is a great representation of the lack of leadership we have experienced over the past 34 months.

Eric Holder should be on his way out the door, followed closely by Barack Obama.

The United States of America is now a Dictatorship

Facing mounting Congressional gridlock, President Obama realized his dream by declaring the United States a dictatorship – of which he is the dictator.  Although toying with the idea since the time of his youthful interactions with Marxist mentors and bringing it into fruition via his cornucopia of regulatory czars, his sagging poll numbers and uncooperative legislature finally pushed him over the edge, “My instruction to…all the advisers sitting around the table is…identify all those areas in which we can act administratively, without additional congressional authorization, and just get it done.”

So much for being a uniter and working with Congress.  Of course, it is difficult to speak with members of congress when you are constantly traveling across the country for your reelection campaign.

Herman Cain Becomes GOP Frontrunner in Latest Poll

Captain Underdog, Herman Cain, rises from obscurity to top of the GOP presidential candidates according to the latest poll by NBC News and the Wall Street Journal.  It remains to be seen if he can hold his lead, but his success has drawn the ire of the establishment black community.  Apparently, Cornel West and Harry Belafonte have never seen a black man who wasn’t a victim.  Moreover, Cain’s success and conservatism has prompted some in the black community to label him an “oreo.”  This doubly racist label is intended to deride Cain for being “black on the outside, but white on the inside;” that’s in contrast to Barak Obama who is just white on his mother’s side.

African Antelope Tackles Mountain Biker

In an online video-gone-viral, an antelope is seen tackling a mountain biker during a bike race.  Although the details are sketchy, it is suspected that the antelope was hired by PETA to provide footage for their latest over-the-top ad campaign following in the footsteps of their now infamous “Save the Whales” and “Payback is Hell – Go Vegan” campaigns.  PETA is well known for reaching beyond social norms in efforts to promote eating habits that are motivated by their lack of ability to distinguish between animals and humans.

Several U.S. Cities Discover Voids in their Downtown Areas

Across the country several cities have discovered voids in their downtowns.  Thankfully, they are only intellectual voids caused by the vacuous intellect of the self-named “Occupy” protestors.  After a month of occupying Wall Street in New York, the protestors are yet to offer a cohesive message; although hatred of large corporations and a masochistic love of totalitarian government and welfare society appear to be common themes.  Lacking anything concrete from the protestors, the following list may be a helpful summary:

 1) Big corporations are bad – but their social media, smart phones, telecommunications networks, bullhorns, sleeping bags, tents, markers, cardboard, clothes, shoes, cameras, and food are okay to use for protesting against them.
2)Millionaires shouldn’t have so much money – unless they are a celebrity supporting the protests in which case they’re cool.
3)People who earn their money lawfully and don’t want to give more of it to the government are greedy – people who do nothing but want other people’s money are not greedy.
4)  Big banks that got bailed out are evil – big unions that got bailed out are good because they support the protests.
5)  Big corporations that lobby government officials to gain power are evil – democratic politicians who take that money to gain power and give government money to the same corporations are good because they support the protest
6) Democracy is apparently a process whereby no one is more important than anyone else (except the guy directing everyone else with a bullhorn), everyone repeats everything the one important guy says, and all decisions must be decided by unanimous vote.

The protestors, very many of whom are college students, are also doing an excellent job illustrating the decline in U.S. universities by virtue of their clear inability to formulate a logical or coherent message.  Their protests should be directed at their universities for charging insurmountable tuition while simultaneously draining their brains of reason; of course, their ultra-liberal professors already told them it was Wall Street’s fault.

In addition to other celebrity appearances, famed documentary filmmaker Michael Moore visited the protests.  It is not known if he will produce a new documentary about the protests but, if he does, it is sure to be a “Twilight Zone” meets “Pee Wee’s Playhouse” expose.

Sometimes it’s Better to Keep Quiet and Be Thought a Fool…

Last Friday President Obama confirmed the death of American born al-qaeda leader Anwar al-Awlaki. Al-Awlaki was well known for his hand in the plot to blow up a Detroit bound airliner on Christmas Day 2009, as well as his plan to blow up cargo planes bound for the United States in 2010. He was also known for his anti-America rhetoric and his call for American muslims to take up arms and begin slaughtering American citizens here at home. Major Nidal Malik Hasan listened to al-Awlaki, and through a series of emails between the two, Hasan hatched his plan to kill American soldiers. In the ensuing attack, Hasan killed 13 and wounded 29 others. (Source)

As a result of Obama’s apparent role in al-Awlaki’s death, Congressman Ron Paul has publically called for the President’s impeachment. (Source) On the face of things this sounds at least somewhat reasonable. In fact, the impeachment of Obama for whatever reason actually sounds pretty good. But why this?
